Another fan art series of mine is going! This is the episode 12 of Pokemon Gold series! Whitney is an obstacle in the way of gold, and he is training a lot and getting a better team to beat this gym leader battle! This is how to beat whitney and her miltank!

You know, there's something wholesome about this episode. Seeing them strategize together, seeing Whitney's more wholesome side - I love that you're dedicating an entire arc to this gym badge, and frankly it's deserved.

Love this episode! I really like that Kris starts an bug catching rivalry with Whitney and that it creates a bond. Also fun to see how Gold is stepping up to make a better team and that can't always count on just Quilava, Flaaffy or Wooper. Can't wait till his final showdown with Whitney.

I love how Whitney and Kris were both trying to give him advice on how to be better (the bug catching competition) and be a better trainer. Great episode and I feel the pain of not being able to beat Whitney for what seems like days!! 😂

What I like about Pedro's animation is that he makes parts better than in the game.
Like here, it's not Whitney, the CynthiaRedLeonFusion, but rather Gold, who is bad at strategy yet.

This episode is so cute ! They all started to get along to each other. The Whitney crying will be more emotional because they really did a little adventure all together. It was nice to have several episodes just for one road block

Loved every second of it. To see Whitney being both a monster in battle as well as a wholesome person outside of a fight just makes her character that much better. Also loved to see Attract being used, it's such an unfair move lol. Can't wait till Gold starts screaming over Milk Drink too haha
Is it me, or are you on a Gold spree recently? Not that I'm complaining of course! Cute episode. I appreciate the personality you gave to Whitney - it would have been easy to make her a stereotypical unsympathetic 'mean popular girl' - like she's sometimes portrayed in fanworks, but your version is a lot more nuanced with how she encourages Gold to become a better trainer (in her own way) and how she bonds with Kris. And I agree with Albin Gardien. It really feels like they've all bonded during the experience, so I anticipate a more emotional scene when they part ways... Though I admit that when Miltank started to spam attract, I got PTSD.^^
and believe me, I have a reason to make whitney encourage gold and kris XD as I always say... storytelling is my fav part, even more than animation, so I'm glad to read that it's working! =D

I really like how you’ve written Gold so far. He’s god that new trainer over confidence and even after so many crushing defeats he’s trying to act like it’s not hurting him. I also like how this arc has clearly been building up towards a big win for Gold, can’t wait to see how involved Whitney is in future stories beyond Goldenrod!

Gold is slowly building his way up to being able to take on Whitney, and she certainly shows her fear factor in how even when you try to get around one strategy, she has another waiting to cripple you. And seeing Whitney and Crys build up a friendly rivalry is adorable, especially as they both deal with Gold's antics the exact same way. XD
The fact he gives the characters so much thought in detail makes these things even better

Oh boy. This Whitney/Goldenrod chapter is really building up. But Ethan is finally getting more growth and he is expanding his party! (Hopefully we will see him get more in time for the Elite Four and Red) That's what I have been waiting for! And I am glad Kris is filling in for the catching stories! Makes me wonder what will happen when Entei, Raikou and Suicune are awakened!
So cute episode, i love how Gold starts to fall in love with Whitney and is funny how he catch a male and female Nidoran and at the end he already has a Nidorino and Nidorina.
Yup, it’s looks like Whitney can also use attract move as well, and it looks like it’s working on gold. And oh yeah, it looks like gold was training both nidoran’s to evolve to nidorino and nidorina, all he needs now is a moon stone to evolve both of them to nidoking and nidoqueen.

Great animations. It's in the details. We see Whitney's sprite movements from the HGSS games, the 'splitting pokeball' when catching pokemon in the original Johto games. Small things like that add extra charm.

Always loved how much you add to the Gym Leaders' interactions with the characters, makes them feel much more like people who are there to help encourage growth in trainers and really gives them a lot more personality. Seriously amazing work as usual
Okay this is one of the top 3 episodes in this series. I wanted a training arc for gold for a long time and I'm really happy with how it is turning out. Great job Pedro.

Man...Ethan is channeling his Adventures manga counterpart...stubborn to a T. But yeah this was a real cute episode with so many moments. Whitney's face when she makes Flaaffy flinch, cheering like her HG/SS sprite, using 'Attract' on Ethan, and her hanging out with Kris at the Bug Catching Contest. Them wearing the Bug Catcher outfits was really cute. But wow Whitney's shirt. 0///0 I poke fun at her in these cause of her milk bags but I do like her character in this. Very curious what will happen once Ethan finally beats her.

Watching your videos reminds me of why I love the original Gold and Silver games. Not only for nostalgia, but the journey and fun I had for my first time through any game. Also, the pain and agony of Whitney and Miltank is spot on. It makes me want to go back through my physical copy of Gold again. Keep up the great work
It was a great episode and we can see that Gold is finally learning from his mistakes after losing many times after losing so many times against Whitney! It was fun to see Gold and Kris battling other trainers to became better trainers! Kris and Whitney are hanging out together with their bikes and they went at the Bug Catching contest and it was fun to see Kris's Togepi learning Rollout from TM 04! But to me the best part was when Gold and Kris where catching new pokemon like when Kris got a Growlithe and Gold got a Nidoran (Male) and a Drowzee to trade it for Machop and he got a Nidoran (Female) later. Gold train both of is Nidorans to make them evolve into Nidorina and Nidorino and he was sleeping with both of them in front of Whitney's Gym at the end of the episode! I hope to see Gold finally winning against Whitney's Miltank with epic fights sequences in the next episode!

I love it that you didn't rush it with Golden Rod and Whitney, its like i could stay forever in this moment of improvement , discovery and working to beat Whitney, as you`ve shown, this takes days, sometimes months, and in the game its a few minutes, maybe hour of grinding. Compared to Red and his journey Gold feels more spontaneous? Reckless?? He certainly isn't one to shy away from a challenge but that is also his weakness. So it cool to see him struggling and overcome just brute forcing his way to another badge. It makes even more impressive when you compare him here to one of your earlier animations with Gold vs Red (i dont know if you planned this far in advance but regardless really cool to see his beginning scrappier days as a hot blooded trainer)
this difference between the 2 protag was a things I had in my mind, it's a must have XD i can't repeat the same style of character
