It sounds like a Simpson because when this machine came out, the Westinghouse brand was purchased by Electrolux and shared parts for all it's brands. Even the new Westinghouse machines out now are all built by Electrolux, they replaced the Simpson branded ones which were junk after they stopped making them in Australia. I truly hope the new Westinghouse range is better quality.
Westinghouse appliances were bought out by White Consolidated Industries (formerly the White sewing machine company)in 1974. WCI was then bought out by Electrolux USA. Electrolux was bought out by the Eureka vacuum cleaner company. A real shame. Give me a Westinghouse washer built by Westinghouse Electric Corp. My Grandmother had one she got in 1965, and kept it going for 33 years. Not much went wrong with it.. I'd live to get my hands on that machine.
@@Shakiralover4ever can’t wait. And the Westinghouse washing machine is from 2005 week 17 so released in April I believe, so it makes it 17 years old and still does a great job by the looks of it.
@@Shakiralover4ever I think it’s because it most likely has the same motor as the Simpson esprit and enduro and they had great reliability. The Earlier Westinghouse complete care range I think is an updated Simpson encore. And I believe the later 9.5kg model had the inverter motor and it looked almost identical to the dreadful Electrolux water aid top loaders.
If anyone was able to afford Westinghouse's newest washing machine, should compare the old vs new. One idea in mind I wish to do but sadly I can't cause of money and space
I like how it's button controlled like the fisher and paykel ones rather than mechanical dial but great machine this one is
