One of the greatest New Wave Rock Techno-Pop artists of the 1980s! They were obviously inspired by Kraftwerk in the late 1970s. Love their music, their hits are always running through my mind 40 years later. Bravo Humphries & McCluskey!
got to agree with you Bakes75. there's just something about this tune, , i cant get it out my head . OMD, one of the great groups from the good old days. Just wish them days were back !
One of the top finests from "The Station That Dares to Be Different... 92.7 WLIR-FM." A personal thanks here from me, to program director Mr. Denis McManara and the magnanimous air personality Susan McCann aka Malibu Sue. ❤❤
I must admit i do like some OMD songs. Enola Gay is a classic, Joan of Arc is good. I like when they came back with Tesla Girls and Locomotion. But i have to say, i was so happy when The Smiths came into view in 1983. They had the most mundane name for a band, they were here to demolish the style before substance kind of bands. Morrissey and Marr are some of the greatest songwriters of all time. Hand In Glove, This Charming Man, What Difference Does It Make, William, It Was Really Nothing, Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now, How Soon Is Now, Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want, Rubber Ring, Panic, Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others, Handsome Devil, Still ILL, Reel Around The Fountain, Bigmouth Strikes Again, The Queen Is Dead, The Boy With The Thorn In His Side, Nowhere Fast, There is a Light That Never Goes Out, Girlfriend In A Coma. Just some of the great work of The Smiths, the band who saved the 1980s
@@Hydrangea0922 I love OMD but I also absolutely love Singapore. Was there in 2015 & I've never been to such a clean country! The food, the atmosphere & the people are amazing. Can't wait to get back there in the next few years
It's been a while then since the last gig of theirs you went to! Everyone over here in the UK who's seen them over the last year, have said they're still awesome live so I'm guessing it'll be an amazing show you'll get to see
Dresden Speed of Light Night Cafe Call my Name Metroland Stay with me We love you Was it something I said Don't Go Walking on the Milky Way -- that's the best of.....along with the obvious songs
@@pauls4508 I totally agree but it's like no-one seems to be influenced by all the great music of the past. It's a lot of whiney type singing & also too much style & not enough substance

ELECTRONIC MUSIC SCOUSE STYLEE.
very good job, with an addition of bass, which gives more depth to this piece of music. it really lacked that to be perfect ..
Thank you, glad you enjoyed this class OMD
@pugwash ,like you !!!!💩
Tune
WHEN YOU RING SCOTTISH POWER IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW LOL
If this were slightly more in time and the parts were quantised it would not be perfect.
good
A+++++++++++++
does this have added bass?
awesome, cheers mate

I agree. The Smiths from the UK and REM from the states were the 2 bands of the '80s
Omd brilliant not like the stuff we get now ..
I said on Friday just gone, that music was almost dead....wtf happened?
