i've always wanted to study in china haha. but idk what course nor do i know what school i want to go to... i just really want to study abroad and my first choice is definitely china, either shanghai or beijing. i feel like i would fit in china since i'm a chinese living in singapore and i eat chinese food 24/7 and have spoken chinese to my family all my life (i still suck though haaha). but i'm still pretty young, just started my teen years basically but i want to go to china mainly to develop my acting career in the future... i'm planning on getting an acting diploma then going to china to get a degree in something else (computer science or business.) just in case my acting career fails me :P. since i'm still young i don't really know how the world of universities work or courses so i'm just here to ask for advice hehe. (i also speak a dialect, hokkien and i sort off know cantonese because of my family background in general :D)

Hey I have a question. My boyfriend is going to study at a Chinese university. We were wondering if he is allowed visitors in his dorm, so I can stay with him for a week.
I have questions about social media in China because Facebook, Instagram and Twitter etc are banned. Is there a VPN you used? How did you contact your family while abroad? Does SKYPE work? Also, did your university organise the accommodation for you? My parents are a bit reluctant to let me go abroad to China for my 3rd year in uni because of the government and my safety etc. They told me to go Japan instead but even though I love Japan, Chinese will be far more beneficial for me when I come back to London so I thought Chinese is more advantageous than Japanese. I don't want to make a rash decision.
VPN lets you access all the social media you mentioned and more. I used Astrill VPN and was very satisfied with this provider. China is safe, especially the city of Suzhou. As long as you’re respectful towards the public law & order and don’t do anything illegal, it’s unlikely that you’ll get in trouble. Suzhou is known as one of the “education cities” of China as well, so the locals are used to having foreigners around. China and Japan offer different experience, in my opinion. My suggestion would be to decide which culture you’d like to explore more, and on top of that, which university best fits your intended education field. Fighting!! :)
Hi, I am a potential XJTLU student for September 2020, I was wondering how is the internet situation, like do vpns slow down internet connectivity. I play games in my free time would using a vpn in china slow my speed? what vpn works best in china? oh is there an option to do your own bedding?
it depends on the wifi, if the wifi's strong then the VPN might actually speed up the connection, but if the wifi's trash then your VPN will get disconnected. my advice is to get a good router for your room. Astrill VPN works best imo. and wdym by bedding?
Justin L ohh yea they do it’s part of the room. if you don’t wanna use them you can talk to the cleaning lady or just keep them somewhere in your room. i bring my own pillow, sheets and blanket from home tho

can i know the university that you want to go to in hongkong? if someone already get a scholarship, can the scholarship change because of your national exam score?
I applied for CityU! The scholarship I got was conditional, meaning it would depend on future exams I hadn’t yet taken (in this case, it was the national exam). If your grades didn’t reach the required level, you would lose the scholarship. Hope it helps! :)
How high are my chances on getting accepted for medicine as a foreigner from Germany? Because I really want to apply, but I don't know if I even have a chance.
@@saitamaswifey3447 I can’t say for certain because i’m not too informed on too many unis in china besides xjtlu and a few other international unis, but from what I’ve heard, it’s a lot harder to get accepted to a national uni (using Mandarin as its teaching language) than international ones. For xjtlu specifically, I’d say it’s not that hard to get accepted. If you have average to high grades in your report card and a good personal statement, you’re likely to get accepted. Not sure if xjtlu has a medicine major tho, you might want to take a look at their website to make sure. Hope it helps :)
Hey Michelle!! Luckily I discovered your channel! Nice video! It sounds amazing 😍I also got accepted to XJTLU...I’m just wondering how you feel abt the teaching style...is it interactive, group work or more just like listening? Competitive? And do you eventually know if there are internship and abroad study options for undergraduate? I’m a bit afraid to stuck in Suzhou for the whole program.
miss bubblegum hi! teaching style depends on each major imo, business majors do tons of groupwork, english has endless papers and little to no exam (midterm/finals), STEM majors usually just listen in class, do hw and cry during exam weeks LMAO. there are both exchange and 2+2 program (2 years in suzhou and 2 in UoL UK). you also have to do min. 40hrs internship if you’re taking an undergrad degree, and you can do intern in or outside of china! :)
By that do you mean a university that uses English as its delivery language but has Mandarin as one of their modules? If so, xjtlu, cuhk, and nottingham ningbo are among the top international universities in china
Hello! I have one question, do you know anyone studying IR at XJTLU? Or do you know what people say about this programme there? I'm asking cause I'll be studying it starting this fall and wanted to know other people's opinions :D
aside from the basic necessities (e.g. clothing, medication, passport, personal items etc), i'd probably recommend you to pack lots of instant foods/bumbu2an yg susah didapet diluar indo (indomie, frozen food, bumbu nasgor dll). winter jacket bisa bawa dr indo tp klo ribet di china gampang belinya kok (there's taobao). you'll also need to bring some documents (akte lahir, rapot, ielts etc) but i can't provide any details bcs udh lupa hehe try asking your agent if you have one, or email the uni on what docs you'll need for registration etc. hope it helps!
