I appreciate the work that went into this brother, I do have a different view, both the Greek language and the Hebrew lange are challenging because some translations are almost impossibe. You assumption that Agape was the normal in Greek seems to be incorrect from my studies, I can only find one place in Greek literature outside the Bible where Agape is used. I also maybe I"m the onlyone, but I see and preach a great significance between the "common words" in John 21. Very briefly I see him specifically telly Peter first to feed His Lambs- those are the new believers that don't know Jesus yet, then he says Shepherd my sheep, that the whole herd , then feed my sheep, the mature. Hes telling all of us that we need to find the lost, bring them into the fold and teach them all the Gospel. I also do not see Agape as being a higher "level" but a different kind of Love. It's not also ways a GODLY love the demons can love evil just as much with as much passion and sacrifice as we Love GOD. Phileo is a brotherly Love and while Agape is a Love that is more absolute, more sacrificial, it is everything in 1 Cor 13. Phileo may be just as intense. I also know that the translators often used the translation for the words soul and spirit interchangably, and we know they are differemnt. Don't get me wrong I dont know how they did what they did with two languages that have so many nuances trying to translate them into a language that is more black and white and often with no good english word. I actually can explain some of the instances you give in your message but not all, I think that the Agape word was used so seldom anyplace but the Bible that no one has all the answers. The key is that none of these are salvation issues and we as the body need to be united and not allow any small thing like this divide the body. Actually this has given me my sermon for this week, Thank you Brother. God Bless

I think Jesus is asking, "Do you have general concern for me?" This would set Peter off yet convict him for his betrayal and temporary return to his former vocation, fishing. The, "these" are the fish cooking on the breakfast fire.

Peter himself did not use these two words interchangeably in 2 Peter 1.7. Could you explain?
