I must have watched this video 10 times by now! I feel like I learn something every time I watch it! Great video, would love to see more like this..... I recently bought an airbrush and was wondering if you do any airbrush techniques on your weathering DVD's? If so which volume has a better demonstration of airbrush techniques?
Cheers
Luke.
Thanks Luke, that is especially meaningful coming from a master like you!
Your video podcasts are always fantastic!! Your style of conversing and instructing is personable and informative and relaxed. Always great!! I'd love some videos on WEATHERING 'N' Scale soon!
Fantastic Work!
Nice work, guys. I like your conversational approach.
Awesome video! Very helpful!
I just bought this same car in G scale. i couldnt find a prototype but this helps tremendously. Awesome work!!
Holy moly, amazing vid guys! All of your videos are well explained : ) Thankyou for going into such detail, my brain is just soaking up all the ideas! lol
Awesome video guys!
Simply outstanding!!! Looks fairly simple too!!
Hard to believe that I haven't seen this, since I had my OLD channel!!!
I've been weathering for a very long time - but techniques on this video taught ME a few new tricks!

super, great work!
hey guys this video is amazing! thank you so much. what i jast noticed at the last few seconds of the podcast that you weathered your tracks. are you guys planning to make a HOW TO podcast on this theme? thx again
Moloco a toy train car? Hardly. They are beautiful scale models. But the weathering adds to the realism depending on how long the car has been in service.
How did you match the paint for the area that was exposed when you removed the cast on grab irons?
Dan, a quick question. Before proceeding with the brown Acrylic overspray, do you let the oil wash thoroughly dry? This is not mentioned on the DVD either, so I figured to clear that up here. Thanks!
Hi John I just saw this. The answer is yes. You should always let your layers dry before proceeding to the next layer!
How many minutes did it take all together
I have several of these insulated boxcars, with the same door as the one you are weathering. They looked to me like they swung open, like a tractor trailer van. Am I wrong? I don't want to weather a sliding door scrape, if they swing open! Great video, thanks!
I have this, but it's in n scale, I mean the boxcar
AAR Car Code 1955 "all roof walks on rolling stock from this day forward are illegal except on cars transporting bulk cargo" (well cars, auto racks, tank cars, covered hoppers, and MOW equipment) if you have a boxcar that was made after 1955 GET RID OF THE ROOF WALK! roof walks are illegal they can get people killed and they are not on modern railroads.
Bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
I will be watching this several more times, much for the same reason as Luke. Even for us more experienced old farts, this info is golden!! Thanks Dan!
