I am from Brasil, and a Supporter of São Paulo team (the killer of Liverpool on 2005 world club cup), and this is one of the best futball songs of the world! Congratulations Derby
Its actually an Australian song about Australian rules football, its called 'Up There Gazaly'. Some Derby fans heard it in Australia and made a Derby version. Yes its a great song.
Steve bloomer, the one that got away wish he would of played for the Albion he scored the very first goal at the Hawthorns in 1900. Good song by the way 👍
Shame he played before the age of television I would love to have seen him play. Incredible how he scored so many goals being such a small man and in a time when the rules heavily favoured defenders (less than 3 players between forward and goal was offside etc). People talk about Dixie Dean but Bloomer has to be up there with him.
This song is based upon ' Up There Cazaly ' a Aussie Rules song that was performed by Mike Brady 1979. Nothing wrong with it, just saying recognize the tune instantly, just lyrics have changed to suit Derby County.
Sorry I have forgotten what your point was that made me ask that...seven years Man and we are not getting any younger.. Anywayz why do you sing that ? :)
Great story Connor ! Thanks for sharing. I remember, vividly, the Derby team of 1969 that won 1/0 at The Old Den,Millwall. Few teams won there. In fact between 1964/66 we set the ( then ) Football League record of 59 Home games without defeat thru' 3 Divisions. Now anyone can win at the sanitised ( compaeitively ) silent and soulless New Den. Used to love The Baseball Ground. A REAL Fooyball atmospheric Stadium ! Good Luck.
Interesting I didn't know that, don't know why your bitching though surely it's a compliment? I'm a Forest fan ( Despise DCFC ) but this is a good football song, even though it makes my stomach churn when I hear it! :-)
I'm a Derby fan from Israel. One of the best football songs.

I love how you used older clips rather than new ones. Made the song sound 10 times better. Well done!

Jimmy Pavlovic this song has been around for a good century the Aussie rules is based on us
@@memeguy2842 Sorry if I worded it incorrectly. I was trying to say I recognize the tune, and the tune was used for that song I mentioned.
@@memeguy2842 Nope. Derby nicked it from Mike Brady who wrote it. Good song so I don't blame them.
