Love this! I’ve only been quilting for 5 years, but in that 5 years my Ovation is getting lonely.
I heard the rain and was wondering where you were. Thank you for answering that question.

I am over the top, happy. I loved your video. I’ve been a new serger or a long time. Learn one thing and forget the last but I guess at 80 that’s kind of parr for the course. I have watched so many videos of surging on a quilt and a lot were good but NO ONE has ever explained the threads like you did on this video. I have some Wooly Nylon and learned last night why that isn’t what I want to use. But then I didn’t know what kind I should get for decorative serving. LOL. I am going to look into your class. I did subscribe and will be watching all your videos. Thank you!

What a great project, I have some leftover strips of black, white, silver. I will get some heavier thread and do this project. Thanks for sharing.

Cynthia, those colors will be so striking together! You can never go wrong using black, white and an accent color. So excited you will try it!

So, I was wondering what all the background noise was and cracked up when you said it was hailing there -- I grew up in northeast Louisiana and remember that sound well :) Thanks for sharing all this info... I LOVE my Triumph serger and I LOVE quilting but had never thought of blending them like this! New project!!!

This is the only way I can quilt! Jelly roll is easy on my nerves. The other cutting and piecing of squares and triangles messes with my brain.

So, I don't have a serger, but want to have one, what kind of serger should I get?

Vicki, In my opinion Babylock is the way to go. Please understand, I am a Babylock Educator. Although before I became a BL Educator years ago, that is the brand I bought. It made serging a passion of mine. They are so easy. Not sure what capabilities you are looking for but you can start with a 4 thread serger if thats all you need. That model would be the BL Victory. Do a little research. If you have a local Babylock Retailer near you, go in and have them demonstrate the different BL Sergers. They are the easiest to thread! I have an UDEMY Course on the BL Triumph. This is the top of the line BL Serger. But start where the capability fits your needs. If you have sergers demoed to you, have them cut the threads and show you how easy they are to thread. BL is the easiest and very dependable. I'll link my UDEMY course. If you decide on the Triumph you will be all set with this course!
