At 5:50 you speak about the Eucharist... Here are Justin Martyrs words: "For not as common bread and common drink do we receive these; but in like manner as Jesus Christ our Saviour, having been made flesh by the Word of God, had both flesh and blood for our salvation, so likewise have we been taught that the food which is blessed by the prayer of His word, and from which our blood and flesh by transmutation are nourished, is the flesh and blood of that Jesus who was made flesh.” - (First Apology, 66)
It is the belief of the group who participate in Eucharist that where the common bread and common drink which they receive as group in followsip shall get the blessing of real body and blood of Christ. With the blessing they receive, they will behave with each other like Jesus behaved with His follow disciples.
That’s you reading your Protestant beliefs into what he wrote. As with St Ignatius the other Fathers are refuting gnosticism which claims matter is evil. So they use the literal Flesh and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist to argue backwards to the Incarnation. If the Eucharist is real Flesh then so was Jesus in His Incarnation.
Everywhere in Scripture Protestantism takes literally EXCEPT what clearly violates that theological system. Then it’s called symbolic.
The reason I returned to the Church was the Fathers and the historical record. There was no imaginary great apostasy and they weren’t known as merely Christians but as Catholics. As early as 107 AD we read Ignatius calling the Church the Catholic Church. We have Irenaus saying that all MUST agree with the Church of Rome from which NO ERRORS CAN COME. 200 AD. The Bible’s New Testament itself has no list of which books even belong in the Bible. History shows that the Catholic Church officially discerned and declared the 27 book list we have today. Funny thing is that happened in 393 AD, a full 360 years after Jesus, almost 200 years AFTER Irenaus wrote what he did about Rome AND that the faith was already spread throughout the known world. All without a New Testament Bible. According to Sola Scriptura being the only authority how did this all happen?
Answer? Through the Authority of the Catholic oral preaching. I just got tired of trying to force my errant theology into Scripture and onto history.
When you stop fighting Truth it will draw you in like a magnet. Just let Scripture and history say what they say without trying to distort it and make it backwards compatible with the so called reformation which was a revolt.

How do you reconcile the Popes infallibility when there have been the Medici family, Popes that have prayed in Hindu and Synagogue rituals etc? Doesn’t look infallible to me according to their own Catholic standards (and no these events were not merely political).
We can bring up Vatican I and II but I think even you would agree that modern day Catholicism doesn’t look like it once was on that.
Seems orthodoxy would be a better choice but even their doctrine is questionable.

I love your channel because while I'm focusing now on reading the bible(complete), I can use some of the free time I have to study and learn about church fathers and if protestants read about those man, only a few would remain protestants and the vast majority would convert to Catholicism or Orthodoxy

As a Catholic learning more about the early fathers, I love these videos. As a professional motion graphics, I'm impressed by the amount of work that I know goes into these.

Angelic beings are always depicted as he or him, and particularly angels/messengers who aren’t the winged beings that culture has made us accustom to, but actually look just like mere human males. So the rebel angels that took human wives as seen in Genesis 6 produced offspring known as the fallen ones, the Nephilim (the fallen ones). These became the demons and the god kings of the old Near Eastern world, and new gods of the latter age. But Moses in Deuteronomy 32 refers to them as lesser gods, evil spirits who rebel against the One True God.

Furthermore, there are also apocryphal works that were popular in the first and second century that taught along the same lines, like the Book of Enoch, which Jude in the New Testament quotes from. So perhaps you oughta clarify what “further source” it is that you’re looking for exactly. Peace

I am well familiar with this subject and the relevant bible passages, as well as the apocrypha.

"And when we say also that the Word, who is the first-birth of God, was produced without sexual union, and that He, Jesus Christ, our Teacher, was crucified and died, and rose again, and ascended into heaven, we propound nothing different from what you believe regarding those whom you esteem sons of Jupiter. For you know how many sons your esteemed writers ascribed to Jupiter: Mercury, the interpreting word and teacher of all; Asclepius, who, though he was a great physician, was struck by a thunderbolt, and so ascended to heaven; and Bacchus too, after he had been torn limb from limb; and Hercules, when he had committed himself to the flames to escape his toils; and the sons of Leda, and Dioscuri; and Perseus, son of Danae; and Bellerophon, who, though sprung from mortals, rose to heaven on the horse Pegasus." - First Apology Chapter 21.
Justin Martyr must have been the type of person that the Apostle warned us against when he said "Let no man carry you away with the philosophies ..after the rudiments of the world". ( Colosians 2:8) . Justin Martyr surported the philosophies of Soractes & Hereaclitus for example ( see Apologia x1vi). I listen to Paul, who was chosen & inspired to write By Jesus, not human non Christian philosophers!

It’s just what he thought. The whole Christian church has corrected its thinking on this matter over time. Sec within marriage is actually very good. Luther very much rediscovered this truth .
Paul clearly warned AGAINST worldy philosophy at Col 2:8. So who was this 'church father'? he WAS a philosopher. Note the comment in 'The early church Fathers' page 9 ( Oxford university press1956) "JUSTIN; He had a passion for philosophy.he betook himself a stoic teacher who showed no interest in religion. The he put himself under Platonist and found his doctrines more congenial. Then in mature life he converted to Christianity. But he still thought of himself as a philosopher, still wearing his philosophers robe! which was the accepted academic dress of the professor of philosophy. Thus like the majority of these 'church Fathers' their influence of the greek philosophy of the hellenistic world greatly dictated their writings!. I dont rely on these church father writings but only on the Holy bible, which they so often twisted & ignored in their 'orthodox' dogmas
