This was one of the top performances by a Grammy Award Winning Artist at Jazz Fest 2016. Anders has some beautiful lyrics and can play the heck out of the guitar. The whole band sounded fantastic, for any doubters, you should open your hearts and minds and give this a listening to again. Anders is an amazing artist.
Such an amazing performance! You can see how much he is in the zone and really feeling the music. Hhis lyrics are so relatable and come from such a fresh perspective. Thank you Anders for your music
Just spent a few days with Anders at Steve Earle's Camp Copperhead and let me say there isn't a man, woman, or child at this place without a massive AO crush. Just the nicest, most talented, and most joyful human being I've ever come across.
OM Heavenly Stars!! Just fell in Love with a new Band!! How Wonderful!! Much Thanks!! Im really enjoying this Concert!! The Music and Voice and Lyrics are Great!!!

We're listening to your awesome musical sounds on Sunday 12/12/21 Anders, the distance is far, Your Tunes always earn A+, Who Dat? Or Who Dat! Love Ya Tunes! I'm Home With My Baby & We Wish Were Back Home On St. George Avenue, Ya Know? XOXOXO
Wow, this guy and the band is incredible! Just discovered him while watching JJ Grey. He mentioned Anders so did a search and found the Phases of the Moon Fest video and was blown away. Man, Anders OWNS the guitar! Why did it take me so long to find such a talented guy? On my bucket list to see him live someday!
just saw these guys at Chenango Blues fest in NY they really cooked. I am knew to their music but hear a lot of influences especially Neil Young in a number of jams...and they know how to JAM will look to see them again!!!
Stephanie Sandlin it's not a competition.... you're obviously not a musician. There's a whole lot of irony going on in your comment. I'd imagine New Orleans isn't for you!
Yes a musician and your point? Surely you got something better than going on the personal attack and saying I'm clueless no? The guy bores me and how he gets classified as blues is mind blowing. Can't handle an opinion which isn't fawning perhaps?
Hi Steph ! if i 'd walk in your shoes , i'd just move on to something i'd fancy. NO NEED to sour other peoples appreciation !! most of us may have heard other , 'better' guitarists ( most of us have heard a.s.o. Jimi , or Duane Allman , Jerry Garcia and more ,,, but as Garrett commented correctly : "it's not a competition .." - it's a contribjushun to a music festival , "American Sound" or not .....
Huh? Anders is Swedish, Eric McFadden is from Albuquerque, Papa John Gros is from New Orleans , Carl Dufrene was from Louisana and drummer Brady Blade is from Shreveport. I believe that may be Anders' daughter also on percussion - no cannucks that I know of
I saw him in VT a few months ago, and was quite disappointed. Great song-writer and showman, but there's a dozen local 20-somethings who can bury him on guitar.
+Harley Springer So, because he isn't some kind of guitar god you were disappointed? You let that disappoint you? I feel bad for you. Those local kids might be "bury" him, but at the end of the day they are just locals.
+setboy1 As you read reviews on-line, he is touted as New Orleans' top blues guitarist, which was what I'd hoped to see. I'll have to challenge that conclusion.
+Harley Springer Anders is known more for his songwriting, collaborations and producing. His 'American Patchwork' album and Johnny Sansone's 'The Lord is Waiting and The Devil is Too' which he produced and played on are the most recent that showcase(if you will) his playing. With Anders its lyrics, his playing and the song all together. Sometimes the audience can make his shows tough to enjoy; more about how stoned and fucked up you can get and wander around like a jackass. Sorry you were disappointed but don't give up on him, he's got a lot of good music.

Indeed my friend!! He should be a household name! I moved from Chicago to Baton Rouge...what a pleasant surprise!!

Jaw dropping performance
That is my favorite version of his band. Brady, Carl, Eric and Jon.

We became fans after
seeing this set on axstv. If you don't like this set, I feel sorry for ya. Thanks for the video, made my day again.
+mplsbluejay .........welcome to the family. Anders is one of the best around.
+mplsbluejay found so many bands over the years from axs tv or hdnet
Don't dig it. Nothing interesting. Typical rock. Been there done that many times. Give me Charlie Patton instead.
Anders old stuff by far exceeds this stuff. This is bland and slightly cheesy in comparison.

Look up anders Osborne at breckenridge brewery
i like anders and all but the other guitarist plays alot of the leads
coming to the Narrows in Fall River MA. 8-11-16. Can't wait. They tore up the place last year.
just saw these guys at Chenango Blues fest in NY they really cooked. I am knew to their music but hear a lot of influences especially Neil Young in a number of jams...and they know how to JAM will look to see them again!!!
..... THE MAN!!! And, he has Eric McFadden playing guitar with him....... Do yourselves a favor and check out Eric Mc!!
The organ player, Papa John Gros, had his own band, Papa Gros Funk for several years. You can find a lot of that bands tunes on youtube.
He's also in Raw Oyster Cult.
Brilliant. He reminds me of Delbert McClinton. He should be a lot bigger. I found him through Playing for Change.
i miss the old anders....
Blaine Harrison I don't get the appeal of the guy at all. Boring rock. Soulless. I will take Warren Haynes over this guy.
Stephanie Sandlin it's not a competition.... you're obviously not a musician. There's a whole lot of irony going on in your comment. I'd imagine New Orleans isn't for you!
