What is wrong with the JT?

Service shifter light that comes on intermittently followed by no power steering, the inability to shift no matter what speed you’re going. And when you come to a stop, it forces itself into neutral and there is no way to get it into park or drive. I’ve traced it to a wiring harness that rubbed on the radiator and grounded out blowing a electrical cam bus behind the glove box. No way to get the parts in time.

@@TaylorGibleroffroad oh man, when you get home and start to work on it post some pics or a short reel I would like to see what wiring harness and where to look so I can check my JT out and see if I have a problem waiting to happen..

I have and love the Jeep! Jeep was having issues so we emergently swapped everything over to the zr2 real quick and did the trip!

@@swampdogglawless88 no. Totally different. I like both for different things! Jeep for crawling and snow wheeling. It’s far more capable. Solid axles are generally far stronger, at least at the consumer level. The IFS in the ZR2 isn’t ideal for anything technical, but it does fairly well in the speed stuff. I am going to do a full build on the ZR2 and get as much travel out of it as possible. But, with the factory IFS diff, it’ll never be as strong as the Jeep is from the factory.
