Always love your honesty and openness! I think a good name for the podcast would be WanderPlace, with the idea that without a place, you go at your own pace. The upside of not having a specific place is that you get to explore and find others, and share both your and their stories. With introspection and self-awareness, you gain meaning and new creativity as well as new social connection and perspective.

    opinion:
make the name something seo friendly if you're looking to expand your reach and audience
keep it to your brand if you'd rather dive deep with your community and keep it based off a certain lifestyle
    idea:
name it something to do with "synchronicities" since that's like your favorite thing. i love that term and would use it if i were starting a pod but instead of selfishly saving the idea, i figured you would get better use of it :)

hey annemarie, just wanted to comment because I really related to that experience you have of people constantly asking what your next move is! I just started my first job out of university and it's a job that is often seen as a stepping stone to move on to "better" jobs. So a lot of people have been asking me about my long-term career plans. And honestly I have no idea! Now I just say "I'm going with the flow" too 😂 Something I read that sort of relieved my anxiety about the future was from this book I'm currently reading called "Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals". The main sentiment from one of the chapters is that, as much as we try to plan our life perfectly, there's no telling what will happen in the future. And that's perfectly ok. 💜 so hopefully things will work themselves out in the end, we'll just have to enjoy the ride. cheers! ☺

    • @annemariechase
      @annemariechase  2 роки тому +26

Now that I think of it, I’ve been avoiding the question since graduation too 😂 I love that takeaway. It’s so true - there’s no way of telling what will happen in the future. The pandemic has showed us that and has shaken the future of things up a lot. In a similar but maybe opposite (?) way, the book “The Power of Now” has helped to relieve a ton of the baseline anxiety I used to have. It really dives into the idea that the only reality is now (not past or future) so it’s useless to have anxieties of anything else. I just started re-reading it yesterday hehe. I’ll check out “Four Thousand Weeks”, thank you for this 🤍🌊

Ann Marie 😁🌷 there’s no video you make like being an intern for someone else. Those videos are AMAZING, I think you’d be extremely successful creating that type of content and I say so because your biggest strength as a influencer IS INTERVIEWING people. Your video with Sneako is just GENIOUS, same with Kelly and Col (not sure how his name is spelled) I even thought about emailing you to tell you that!

so excited for the podcast! whatever you choose for a name i would recommend against unemployed millennial because i feel i've seen a lot of podcasts with a name to that effect; it's quite generic and frankly undersells/fails to recognize the unique voice and magic that YOU are bringing to your podcast. that is to say, if someone on spotify scrolls past "unemployed millennial" i don't think it conveys a good picture of what you are bringing to the table. something with your name in it would be dope!

I’ve been trying to research cities and travel around as much as possible before graduation, just to have an idea of what I want in a city and how I would grow my career in each city (in data science/engineering). So far my top is Washington, DC (not sure if you mean DC or WA state), but I think it’s a great city and personally love it haha. Now from my perspective, it is the best time to travel and do things if rent is high while you can (in terms of putting funds elsewhere). Food for thought, everyone seems to just be figuring things out in 2022. A humbling time to be alive.

Podcast name idea: lost n found
For a literal lost and found, you go when you physically lose something and maybe a random person found it and brought it there to help out. for an online space like a podcast, you listen to find insight and comfort when you feel lost. So similarly to some stranger bringing a lost item to the lost and found, you and whoever you have conversations with are bringing your thoughts and experiences, which helps people feel less lost and alone. Basically a lost and found is a designated space for people to help each other out because we’re all a little lost in this world and could use the help.
Idk!! Its kinda corny but it’s an idea lol

Your manner makes your content stand out from others but I think it's sad that every influencer is falling under the same NYC in my 20s trope

    • @boredguy5805

There's not really any pressure to be in NY as a UA-camr at all, the pressure is to be in LA lol. If anything Ur Mom's House were some of the first big young UA-camrs to move to NY for a long time, I think she just wants to go there since it's a great city and her friends are there

Sure LA is bad. I don’t watch anyone in LA, the highest concentration of people I watch are in New York and a lot of them admit that a significant part of that is because of the network they have for work there.
Anne-Marie saying that being in New York was definitely better for her channel made me think of that. I’m glad she is happy there, that’s all we want to see!

I know you don’t really like tiktok but I would honestly give it a try! It would really help your growth. I feel like you have a lot of useful words of wisdom to share and you would create meaningful discussions on there. Plus Alaska seems like a really interesting place and you could spread information on what it’s like to live there, fun facts etc honestly the 20 hours of sunlight is so fascinating to me I’m sure more people would love to learn about it! Also short form content it’s what’s growing right now so it’s best to jump on that. If you’re not sure where to start try searching what you would talk about on the platform to inspo

Hey Annemarie, love the content. For the podcast I was thinking “Moments in time”, “Keepsaking memories”, or “Capturing Memories in time”

What exciting news! Can’t wait to listen to your podcast and hear all the wisdom and insight you have to offer especially at such a young age... I’m from the west coast so hearing about the 40x income requirement in New York sounds so crazy!!! Haha

I feel that I would like to see you traveling around the globe and connecting with people from different cultures and try to show their point of view of life, for the podcast since you already made it for the sole purpose of connecting with others and involving others in your content why not name it connected? Or something along those lines

would be cool to see you have a conversation or video a day in the life of an indigenous person in alaska (and compensate them of course) 😊
