It's a good question: some people might view learning an Electric Unicycle as too formidable a challenge. In most respects, a mid to high-end Electric Unicycle will outperform an Electric Scooter, with bigger battery packs, motors, larger Wheels, & your hands are free to carrying things too. An eWheel can go further, take on nearly any terrain, is more compact, more maneuverable, more comfortable to ride, as well as gets more attention from envious sweating bipedal pedestrians :) Information from other markets, like France & Korea, is that there's trend from owners of eScooters to adopt Electric Unicycles, but not the other way round. However, it's a big World, so there will be enough people wanting a variety of different Personal Electric Vehicle technologies like eBikes, eSkateboards, eScooters & eWheels.
Thanks for the info! I've been leaning towards EUC over scooter but my main concern is if I have to lock up outside, say they don't let me bring it inside at a movie theater, (or wherever). I wouldn't be too confident putting a U - lock through the handle of a EUC, (assuming the handle part is just plastic). I've been looking at V5f and L8 scooter btw.
Besides learning curve, what are the advantages/disadvantages of an electric scooter to an electric unicycle? I'm trying to decide which to get!
