I’m happy the seasons over it’s been a tough year I’ve been spoiled as a fan and take MSU for granted but I do appreciate this teams fight to make the tournament. Can’t wait for next year!

She's a Duke fan and, one suspects from the handle, one of those people who get some validation in their lives by identifying with "winners" without any regard for how they've won. I'm not sure why she's hating on MSU. Maybe it's because MSU bounced Duke with Zion, Barrett & co out a couple of years ago. I'll be honest with you. I'm not an MSU fan. I respect Izzo's record, but I always thought and still think he's a "whiner". However, I have to give him a lot of credit for the job he's done this year. He struggled through a tough season where he didn't have a true PG to run the offense, didn't have great rebounding, didn't have great shooting and managed to get them into this tournament to preserve his streak. That was an accomplishment for him and these players. I saw a lot of their games, and he's right that they played some of their best offense of the season in this game. He's obviously disappointed that they fell short in a game they seemingly had under control, but he handled the disappointment with class here.

UCLA flipped the trend this game, blowing leads at the end-to taking leads at the end. I am proud we made it to the tournament, but its just hard now being out right away. Is it a "tournament loss" if it's a "play in" game where you have to, by definition, play your way in to the tournament, is it considered a tournament game?
I was hoping to get in with a win last night and get at least 2 wins in the NCAA Tournament. This team can play hot or cold and last night was right in the middle. 1st half was great/ could be better then didn't do well in 2nd half. IMO Henry should have went to the basket not doing a long 2 point shot in regulation. Brown and Hauser missed clutch shots/ Rockett Watts couldn't hit a basket even if it was the size of lake Michigan. It is what is and hope this team comes back next year with more wins and a team we are used to seeing
What's even worse is after the fact UCLA easily rolled BYU (clearly overseeded) and Texas got upset. Good chance they could've made it to the sweet 16.
This was inevitable and it is true. I knew it the second I watch his press conference getting into the torny. You could just tell that everything was off. He was smiling and happy and there was no intensity. That directly results in everything that happened in the game. Rocket (who will not be on the team next year because he was the basis of Izzo's audition comment) and Josh's argument showed a lack of preparation and a lack of intense coaching. The fact that we were up 13 and then Aaron Henry air balled a game-winning shot is ridiculous. That last play was terribly drawn up the last thing you want is a fadeaway two. You cant be all smiley and wiley in the torny its go time the second you get to touch the hotel ground. Izzo needs a complete overhaul next year and learned his lesson that you cant win with guard play you can win with a 1 and a 5 a point guard and a center unless you have Michael Jordan it might be difficult. Next year we actually get good recruits and a point guard. I expect gabe brown to be getting pig minutes and that brooks guy who is the incoming point guard I think Julius Marble will start as well. Trashy way to end the season hopefully Izzo gets his summer time so that he doesn't have excuses for next year. Hopefully we can finish comfortably over 500 next time. GG
Don't expect a lot of improvement this season. While MSU may have helped themselves at the point guard spot they aren't returning a lot of minutes and Brown, Bingham, Hauser need to make huge improvements. That team down the road is getting better recruits than MSU, if Howard ever learns how to coach Izzo's in trouble.
You don't need to take a 3 when you are up by 5 when u only need 2 points. and drive to get fouled so can win the game on the last play of the game before over time
Especially when you're not a knockdown 3 pt shooter! Drive to the hole and create, shoot a floater or get fouled. They had this game. He wanted to be a hero with the nail in a coffin.
What a miserable season. Beating Duke and Michigan were the highlights. Finally it's over. I imagine being stuck in a hotel all week drained the life out of these guys. The pre-game lacked any energy. It was almost like the team said "see we can beat UCLA...but we're not going to, we want to go home". No energy. No rebounding in the 2nd half. I don't give UCLA any credit, MSU gave up. On to the next season. String of NCAA tourney appearances was maintained.

I didn’t see no eye of the tiger in none of these Spartans they didn’t want it . Rocket and Henry don’t mix well together, to many high school mistakes . I think you gotta have Gabe playing down the stretch at least for rebounds if anything. This team will be different with Henry and Langford gone next year is a new year go green .
Henry and a bunch of role players, Henry is gone, now he and Lankford are gone. Hauser has been a disappointment, no point guard...counting on an incoming freshman to run the team...this is mirroring the start of Michigans football decline a few years ago.

Incredibly sloppy MSU basketball, been like that all season long this season. Very uncharacteristic of Tom Izzo's team. Wonder what went so wrong with MSU this season.
Limited non-conf. Weeks off due to COVID. Several players and coaches became sick with COVID which was rarely discussed. Just a heads up, COVID affects your breathing and ability to play. We don't know the extent that happened but we do know Josh had issues. Izzo is a guy that builds up during the season, refining line ups. It's hard to do that with such a limited scenario. Also they played 4 road games and had like ONE practice right after coming off COVID quarantine. It's not hard to see, this whole season was a cluster bomb thanks to COVID.
MSU basketball team didn't deserve to be in the NCAA tournament this year. I believe Mizzou is a great coach, but they shouldn't have been there. Every year a team that should make it gets left out. And lets not forget UCLA shouldn't have made it either.
How can you say wrong, when there were several team's with much better records them both these team's? They made it in on name recognition alone. They bring in the money. Both these school's have big time followings, therefore, the money comes with it ✌
