Early American Accent?

Was the English accent in London at the time the same as today? are there reconstructions of how it sounded?

I believe there is reason to believe it was more rhotic than today and used flat a's in the "ask" words.

the accent in London was definitely different from how it sounds today. the channel Simon Roper has some videos about that.
