Great vid and conversion! I didn't know they made a twin motor version of this chassis until now. They used to make an older 1/6 chassis that came in either single or dual motor versions. It was a lengthened version of the chassis family that started with the Hawg and Thor trucks and was a little closer to hobby grade having double wishbone front suspension, metal front drive shafts and steering links amongst other things. This chassis is still cool though, still takes 540 motors which makes life easy and I see they still have those damper mechanisms built into the spur gears, the overall construction is a little more simplistic but it's still a sturdy chassis and a real step up compared to most other toy grades. I've never seen one converted to hobby grade before and I've never seen a dual motor version before so I enjoyed the video a lot. I have several hobby converted Nikkos on my channel if you're interested in having a look some time.
I got one of these from goodwill a few years ago for $10, havent had the workspace to do anything on it besides maybe using my outside table (which is how i have to work on my tyco Dropstars and can't get the damn thing to drive)
I thought so too but you can see this one has a motor in the the front and rear. Until this video, I had only heard of this chassis being used for the 2WD Jeep Rescue. This is the first time I have seen a twin motor one.
Awesome stuff 👌🏽😎👊🏽
