Something very deprecating & British about her sense of Humour. Utter Comic Genius, & so very Lovely with it. I will miss her & I am only a viewer. So thoughts to her friends and family. You were lucky to know her.

beat me up the bottom with a womans weekly still cracks me up 30 years later. i remember first hearing this.the day after i was with my mum in a local newsagents snd guess what saw a womans weekly! came close to a massive giggling fit in the middle of the shop! for some reason ive never looked at this magazine the same since! so sad she is no longer with us.grew up with her classic blend of comedy.the saddest thing is in her own words she died before she could collaberate with Andrew loyd weber and watched blue peter thinking despite the great obsovational comedy she gave us she sadly died thinking she could not make a piano out of a box of tissues! just look on google she would have soon found out how! comic genious! will we ever see her like again? she was a big part of my childhood years.still finding it hard to beleive like a others from those golden years she is no longer with us.funniest woman in comedy ever!those immortal words beat me up the bottom with a womans weekly! will live with me forever.thanks victoria. r.i.p

A giant of the entertainment world. Everything she did be it singing, acting, stand up, sit com or writing was a master class in how it should be done. She has left us but what a legacy she has left behind. RIP Victoria.

Is this version (i. e. with the tubular bells etc.) on here anywhere without the talkovers? (But with video - there is one with just the audio.)
    I will miss her.

Ohhh Goodbye. You were quite a big part of my teens and it was you (and to a lesser extent Pam Ayres) who made me realise that
    A) women could be funny - properly, catch you off guard, often knicker wetting funny and
    B) you didn't have to be blue or offensive to anyone to be funny.
So many funny sketches and songs to look back on : the coconut matting high fibre diet, the women who clean the sauna, two soups, Freda & Barry, Acorn Antiques, the call girls organising who gets to sit on the tumpty and who sits by the fish tank, in the London Eye with Roger Moore ...
So many brilliant lines written for other people - giving them more laughs that you wrote for yourself.
Damn I'm going to miss you popping up with another bit of genius now and then.

Finding it hard to watch stuff with her as I'm so sad but I'm so happy to see this, how she was celebrated while she was alive to see it and know how much she was loved and appreciated and will be for years to come. :-) Love you Victoria. xx

I think that at some point after 2009 she decided to give up comedy. completely. her final projects were far removed from comedy. she was superb in fungus the bogey man as the villain. I saw what turned out to be her final interview on the one show. to promote that. she was obviously very ill at that time. and didn't say much. she was very private person and didn't like interviews. I was shocked when she died.
