Over the last two seasons I've owned and ridden on the Spank Spike Vibrocores, Deity Black Labels and the PNW Range. The Deity bars were very stiff and compliance was minimal. Not sure if the CZ40 will be any different. The Spank Vibrocores are pretty compliant and have nice rise options, but I preferred the up/back sweep and compliance of the PWN Range. I just wish they sold a ~45mm rise version as I'm sure they'd kill it and sell well!

Check SQlab 3OX HI handlebar ;)

@@COOLBIKEyt Yeah I've researched the SQlab 3Ox bars. Pretty pricey at $160CAN vs $60CAN for the PNW Loam bars, but more sweep at 12° vs 10° and more rise at 45mm vs 30mm. Something to consider if wanting more sweep and rise.

I've got the Spank Spoon in 60mm rise, allowed me to make a big change to the geometry and feel of the bike for $41. They're as basic as it gets, in a good way.

Love the Renthals. really feels more comfortable. The weight is only like 60 grams more than DH rated carbon bars. That's like 2 ounces of water. Thanks Jenson for the recent great price on Renthals!

Well I just injected high density insulating foam in my OneUp aluminum bars after seeing this video.

I went the opposite direction and injected Quikrete into my carbon OneUp's. I'll report back after my impending hospital trip.

I've had spank vibrocore 800 for about 4 - 5 years now and I'm starting to worry it may snap due to fatigue and it has some scratches here and there but never crashed. Would you recommend buying a new one or keep this one?

Totally your call on that. It's hard to say without seeing it or knowing what kind of shape the bar is in. If you feel like there may be some issues with it, it might be worth buying another set of bars for peace of mind.

Weight savings... That's what aluminum will provide when compared with steel or carbon.. strength will be sacrificed.. otherwise if you want the lightest bars without losing to much strength these are the way to go
