Thank you. If you get one, don't buy an excavator used. Try to get a low hour one or a new one. I've replaced probably 30 hydraulic lines on this thing. Thank you.

Ive watched it twice and still don't see anything that a tractor cant go through. What were you referring to?

The wet spot and the steep banks. It's a lot steeper in person than it is on camera.

@Lanninglongarmmowing wet spots aren't a problem for me and with the cutter I have I could chew through that stuff a helluva lot faster and cheaper considering what an Excavator costs. Ya got me on the banks though but I do have steep hills I just cut uphill and downhill. Don't get me wrong, It's a dream of mine to have an Excavator to dig and clear but brushcutting goes a lot faster with a tractor. With 80 acres I just burn it every other year and cut the trails and roads. I stay on marketplace and follow some auctions in the hopes of seeing that sweet deal but haven't found a good enough one yet. You'd think they had solid gold tracks for what they want for some of those things.

@JHP-fireants-shovels You are correct. A tractor is faster and cheaper but can't do the steep hillsides like an excavator can when swinging to the side. Yeah the excavators I've seen are all over priced as well and need tons of work. There were leaks all over the place when I got this machine.

@Lanninglongarmmowing I'll tell ya a good trick. Ask around to some of the local volunteer fire departments and see if they have any old hoses that have been retired and look around on the marketplace as well. The fiber cloth wrapped rubber fire hoses are great to cover hydraulic lines with. They can take abrasion all day, protect from UV rays, and protect you if a line bursts. I bought an old fire truck to restore for 4g and it had several hundred feet of fire hose on it that I used to cover my hoses. I also made sheaths for my machetes and other tools out of the hose. Yeah I feel your pain on having to deal with buying and changing old leaky hoses. Nothing like getting a good deal on a piece of equipment only to find out you have a grand of new hoses to replace. You're right on a rear cutter not being good on banks but I don't have that to deal with to much. My neighbor bought a small hydraulic flail mower and mounted it on the FEL of his tractor with some homemade brackets to do his pond banks for less than a grand. The land shark is a pretty neat unit too but again I don't see a need for it either. Enjoy what ya got and keep that hour meter rollin!!
