After lots of research, here is my fantasy Minecraft modpack: Fantasy Trails. There is so much to uncover with this modpack and too much for a single video, so I decided to make a short demo of what you can expect. I hope you enjoy!

Fresh Animations breaks when used with incompatible Resource Packs, such as Conquest. Unless a compatibility pack has been made for it it can cause broken entity models i.e. the cows and sheep

It's such a shame too because it offers one of the best improvements to the vanilla experience.
Came here to say this. It fails on really minor changes too, like the Vanilla Tweaks iron golem rose texture. This is generally due to the fact that Fresh Animations literally has differently wrapped textures, as well as things like eye texture files. It's kind of up to the pack creators (or you could do it yourself, I suppose) to add a Fresh Animation compatible version, but that's a lot of frankly dull and repetitive work for bigger packs.
yet another amazing modpack from you! you nailed the whole Vanilla+/RPG gist you were going for with this, never thought i'd see the day a man mixed Minecraft with Skyrim.

@NETHER_NINJA While that would certainly be preferable, his modpacks don't work on Bedrock and the work needed to recreate it for Bedrock and make them cross compatible would probably be to much. So if it doesn't happen it definitely wouldn't be because he didn't want it to.
Seeing this man using the LevelZ mod brings me back to the times when RLCraft was trending. This modpack has lots of potential and promise. Would love to see what kind of series you make with this modpack dude, keep up the good work!

Played for 3 days and this is now my fauvorite modpack, and I feel it has most of the things I would expect from one
I would like it to have more mob variety, though (also some optimization and bug fixing lol)
But yeah the modpack its amazing, looks really good, completely changes the game experience but doesnt feel overwhelming at all, thank you so much

I'd suggest the Excalibur Ressource-Pack. Conquest is good for huge builds or for purely cosmetics purposes, but it's a little too busy visually I think.
Excalibur is also closer to Vanilla Minecraft while retaining the medieval "feel" and having a lot of fun stuff to play around for builds

also aerial affinity removes the mining inefficiency while in air, so when you are jumping up and down to reach a block itll mine it as fast as if you were on the ground mining it

@@flowstatevideo Its really cool, i did see that most mobs have a texture glitch like in the video so i turned the animations resource pack off and it somewhat worked

Conquest has very high resolution faces and noses, I believe that one of your villager mods is doing that, not that that is what Conquest's villager faces look like that. Probably more villagers.
I would be super interested in the server, (hopefully the patreon wouldn't be to expensive) I really enjoyed playing the better adventures modpack you made, - the only problem was my computer kept crashing because it couldnt handle the graphics😅- just an idea if you wanted to could be to make a slightly more performance focused version of better adventures

Would love to play on a Vanilla+ server! I really enjoy the modpack but think it would be greatly enhanced to play it in a world with others. If you start up a Patreon I'd definitively support it!

There is this one mod i forget the name but before you spawn you pick a race and they all have buffs and debuffs i think it really cool.

No offense but all this video shows me is that you didnt even research the mods you added, especially in how you're surprised by the rpg stat mods, and you didnt even tweak any of them (to what it looks like. its just the impression. especially with those texture pack issues.
I'll admit this modpack was a flop, I didn't do enough testing or consideration for lag.

Quick fix on the herobrine villagers and possibly the animals: fresh animations doesn't work right with the modpack and/or the feature needed for the mod to run is not enabled. CEM or Custom Entity Models allows that to come true so I recommend trying that.

Hi, love your vids man but I wanted to ask a question! What kind of laptop or pc would you need to run your modpacks (this one and the modpack you did your hardcore series on) smoothly?
Thanks! It depends entirely on your settings, you could get away with using a low-mid render distance on a mid range system. And how much RAM you allocate makes a big difference, I use 12GB for this modpack compared to 10GB for my Vanilla+ one, but I have 32GB to work with. If you only have 16GB, I would not use more than 50% or 8GB. Hope that helps!

3:16 this bug is caused if you don't have optifine, but what I heard recently is that there's a mod that allows resource packs like the fresh animations resource pack with Iris called "Entity Model Features" AsianHalfSquat made a video recently featuring it

That glitch with textures of villagers I think is happening because of the fresh animations resource pack, I think its only compatible with vanilla textures.

Hey Flowstate, just wanted to let you know (as others have too) that I can’t use the modpack - it simply doesn’t boot up past the big red Mojang loading screen, always gets caught on the final little bit. I’ve tried a lot of troubleshooting on my end to no avail, so I think this might need some of your attention.

Yeah that happened to me too initially, the fix for me was that I realized I was only using 4GB of RAM in the launcher. I increased it to 12GB and it loads now, but it does take a minute or so to load because there's so many files to instance.
@@flowstatevideo My system had 16gb so when I tried running at 12gb as you suggested, my computer was very unhappy (Minecraft wouldn't even start). However, I remembered about an old stick of RAM I had and popped that in for a very unaesthetic total of 24gb and after dedicating 16gb to the profile, the game finally launched.
Looks like I need to order a second 16gb set! The game actually launched once I'd reached 14gb of RAM usage (according to Task Manager). Might I suggest that you put a little note in the video description/CurseForge page that people will need to assign a significant amount of memory? Might help avoid some frustrations for people who are limited to 8gb or 16gb machines and who can't easily expand that capacity.
The fresh animations resource pack seems to be broken at the moment... I also got those herobrine eyes
Apparently it’s incompatible with Conquest, might be a good idea to disable it
Yup I released a hotfix version without Fresh Animations, you can download that version or just disable it in your current download

Is this hard on your computer? I couldn't really run the better adventeures+ modpack, without the shaders it was ok. But is this hard to run?

This one is definitely beefier than Better Adventures+, try increasing your RAM allocation or reducing render distance

this seems like a really cool concept, but i wouldn't put any conquest-related mods or resource packs into it... it looks weird having some blocks be not only a different style, but even a different resolution... idk it just looks jarring to me, really cool otherwise tho
anyone know a fix for the broken textures on the animals? large amounts of them cause massive crashes quite often also.

Well I won't deny Conquest Reforged is a huge mod, it slows down the loading time of the game a lot but in terms of performance once you get in game seems pretty similar to my Vanilla+ modpack, so with the right render distance I think it's doable.
Hardcore is tough

Yeah Conquest Reforged is a huge mod, try increasing your RAM allocation that helped me a lot with loading times
