after healing, if the bar is too long (it usually is to accommodate the swelling) definitely get it switched to a shorter bar. it should “nest” into ur lip creating a little crater. it won’t rub up against ur gums that way :)

GUYS I just got it done and it wasn’t even that painful, my nose piercing hurt more! Everyone’s different and as long as you get a piercer who knows what they’re doing, you’re good. Aaah I LOVE MINE

Is when you have got a really blocked nose. And you give a strong blow. It make your piercing Really sting or when you blow your nose - it catches on the tissue badly causing even more pain 😖.
I only Medusa done a few days ago. But since caught really bad flu bug so it’s still healing.
But trust me blowing your nose really hurts.
It’s something that I was prepared for and nobody had pointed this out.
There’s been so many times that the Jewellery has completely snagged on the tissue. Boy it really hurts. Also be-careful that no mucus gets on the fresh piercing.
Trust me it hurts a lot.
Thanks for adding on and sharing it’s valid however i never had that issue with myself except for when I had a septum or nose piercing but not my Medusa. Hope you feel better thanks for watching 🙂

Hi! It’s not bad as long as you go to a reputable piercer and get it done right in and out girl! Also hobby lobby 🥰 already together just had to put it up lights sold separately at the same store too 🙂

Hey. I am actually interested in getting a medusa done sometime in the next few months. So just wanted to ask how the healing and post-healing and everything has been after a year. The gum erosion thing is the biggest thing that is making me postpone it, so wanted to get a little information from others' experiences.
Still have it and doing great! At the end of the day the great thing about piercings is that if they don’t work they can be taken out and tried again 😋 how exciting to get your Medusa soon! Make sure to go to a reputable professional and they would be able to tell you if it’s right for you or not and answer questions better than me 🙂 I still have the same one and no issues my dentist isn’t even worried however this is my experience and varies for everyone! Aaaaw go get it! Trust me if done correctly it shouldn’t hurt badly and will be done fast before you know it! I made it and my pain tolerance is not the highest 😅 just make sure to go to a reputable piercer 🌸 thanks for watching!
I work for the postal service and they are A Ok with face piercings thank goodness! I love mine and got it yesterday! It hurt sooo bad lol but swelling isnt bad for me and i dont bleed.

My first time piercing it she pierced it and put a jewelry too small! My lip blew up and was very painful so took out. The 2nd time was much easier to deal with and heal.

I think pain wise it’s pretty close to nipples. I guess because it’s stretchy and packed with nerves. The clamps didn’t hurt as bad as nipples. I think they’re cute. However I always feel like they’re good stuck in my upper lip and I think it may be starting to imbed. 😫

I love your attitude I’m really thinking about this piercing but I do t want it to look like too much on my face bc I have a septum and double nose piercing
I used to have those same piercings! It’s what you want, I didn’t feel like it was too much for me at all especially since I had a smaller septum! I say try it and go for it because the best part about piercings is that we can take them out whenever we feel like it ☺️ I think it will be cute! Thanks for watching 🌸

Thank you so much ☺️ it’s a matter of preference. I had 2 nose piercing one on each side a septum Medusa. It didn’t look bad but I do like the simplicity. If you get a Medusa you should get a short septum unless you don’t mind them touching.

I being wanting to get this for a few months! But Damn I call a piercing shop and they charge $80 pfff!!! I did my own ear loobs, Septum, and both sides nostrils and is being a year! My septum heal in about 2 months! My both nostril one of them heal in about 3 week and the other took almost 2 month. I'm still thinking for the medusa it catch My attention, but the thing is stopping me is that I don't want problem with my teeth and besides the price hahhaa
Thanks for watching! Yeah different places charge different prices but I love my Medusa had it for a couple or years and my tongue for a few years and I haven’t had any issues yet 🤔🙃

I want it so bad but I'm worried about the pain but even worse is the needle. I have other piercings but seeing the needle makes me start trembling
Aaaaw I am the same way! The way I think about it is not to look at it first of all I always close my eyes lol, and then remember once they finish it’s done and over which is usually quick! You should go for it! I’m sure it will look awesome 😎 especially if you get it done properly ☺️ thanks for watching 🌸

Hi thank for watching! ☺️ everyone body responds differently and I never removed mine for that long of a period of time however with the hole being so small I would think that it shouldn’t be noticeable especially after a year or two ☺️ as long as you take great care of it it should heal great! Hope this helps

what if i pierced it myself and put in an eyebrow piercing it swelled up then went down. then i went to get a 14 mm bar and changed it out now my lip is really big, is that normal? it’s been 5 days since i’ve pierced it.
I never recommend piercing yourself. Please see a professional with any issues. Also since it’s new you should not be changing it unless it’s hurting you which you should see your piercer about. You should be using a bar for a Medusa not an eyebrow so it could be swollen from irritation of being changed. Once again I recommend to see a piercer to have them inspect it and have the correct jewelry put in. Good luck 🌸
Hey there just came across your video. This is a piercing I love to have but what about eating does it affect it in anyway
It should not affect eating at all. If it does it could be because it’s too long and needs to be shorter or the way you eat. Other than that should not affect it. When you first get it avoid spicy foods for a couple of weeks. 👍🏾💕 hope this helps ultimately it’s best to ask your piercer as well as everyone is built differently too 🙃

Depends on the piercer you go to the anatomy of your mouth and the jewelry. Mine doesn’t sit on my guns at all I don’t feel it. When I first got it and it was a little longer it did but barely. You can always ask your piercer as well so they can take a look 👍🏾 hope this helps ☺️
Ugh I want oneee . I’m scared asf of the pain. I got my first piercing in January 2021 on my nose. It hurt some but I wanted it to bad that I didn’t care about the pain. But that is Soo cute omg

Where did you get your ring for it and what size? When I had it I was frustrated that I couldn’t find a ring that would not stick up when I talk or smile
Just to make sure are you taking about my smiley piercing? It definitely shouldn’t stick up or feel funny. If so I got it at kolos piercings in Atlanta. I also get small septums from Spencer’s and they do okay for me too but I like the ring better it’s fits and I forget it’s there. It’s called an infinity ring.hope this helps

Do you think this piercing works better on certain face shapes? I’m thinking of getting it but I have a slim face so I worry it won’t look at nice on me than someone with more fuller face
Personally I feel like this is one of the piercings that look good on everyone ☺️ I say go for it because the good thing is if you don’t want it unlike a tattoo it is easy to take off and rid of. I think it looks good on everyone in my opinion

I got mine Saturday nd ugh I hate the swelling but since I got full lips u can’t tell so much but jus sore how long was your swelling nd what product was best to clean it
Hi sorry for late reply! My swelling was only a week to a week in a half but it was done so well and I also got full lips so it wasn’t noticeable for cleaning I use the saline solution from the piercing studio I went to. H2ocean and I forgot the other brand I use. Long as you keep clean and mouthwash and brush your teeth it should do well at least it did for me! Thanks for watching and commenting ☺️

okay so i am getting this piercing but can i use numbing cream before my appointment? i love piercings but the pain 😮💨😂
It’s quick and not super painful don’t worry!!!! But I don’t know too much about the cream I would call the piercer and clarify. I personally wouldn’t put any creams or lotions though

Great question! For me no it is not, if you feel like it is visit your piercer to check it out. I know when I had the longer initial bar when I got it done it didn’t bother my gums but did bother my smiley piercing. Hope this helps thanks for watching! 🌸☺️
I just got mine today in my bar is a little tight or just (uncomfortable) the inside is swollen the bar inside look tight but u can still see the bar and I ask him did I need another bar he said no cause it’s gone swell but I can see the bar but it feel tight

I think the major swelling you experienced the 1st time also came from the fact that
1 the swelling will happen anyway
2 the second piercing/ piercer probably made the educated choice to use a bar that had enough space for the swelling that was to come during the healing process

Would you be able to eat solid food afterwards?
Thanks for watching! Yes you can but I would avoid anything spicy for the first week or so. I took precautions and ate light my first couple of days 😊
How long until you can smoke?
I am not a professional and I don’t smoke however, everyone heals differently it’s recommended to speak with your piercer regarding this. Typically is a week or 2 I think before you can eat spicy stuff, exchange fluids (like kissing and other acts), and smoke. I wanted to play it safe so I waited a month before I can do anything. Some do it right after or a few days just depends so make sure to discuss with you reputable piercer. Hopes this helps thanks for watching 🌸

Hi 👋🏾 yes I do have a smiley!!! I love it. It really doesn’t get In The way too much it depends on the jewelry you have. When my Medusa was a long bar it always got in the way but then I got it shorter and it better now. I love the combo ☺️
