I’m playing along as a black girl, lol, and I love these sorts of match-ups!
The one’s I feel most strongly about-
1. Nick Shen’s dad BY FAR, over Mulan’s dad
2. I honestly don’t know if I can decide between Hyun Bin and the guy from “It’s ok not to be Okay.” I guess I’ll go with the guy from Crash Landing, just because I liked him in the soldier outfit, and when truly thinking back, my favorite part of “It’s Okay… “ was the girl
2. Lara Jean vs. Ellie is also hard. I actually slightly forgot about that movie that the character “Ellie” was in. I’d say my intitial reaction would be to pick Lara because she seems so fun, but Ellie would be more valuable on the island (with her train engineering knowledge, and the way she’s helped her father with many things.. she’s resourceful!)
Progress! Hoping one day there will be enough characters where there are no repeat actors and all the romantic leads are from mainstream media.

There were so much more Asian characters to choose from. The bracket could've been even bigger but for simplicity (it's easier to do it out of 32 and after that, you'd have to jump all the way up to 64) I get why they had to weed out some characters.

Kim Soo Hyun for the win! But if they had any of Park Bo Gum’s characters I would go with that. For girls, I think Hyeri’s character from Reply 1988 would be a really fun friend. She’s loyal and chill. Ned would be super fun too. His character is adorable. I would totally put Shang or Mulan in the mix. Either one would be awesome.
Wong would've won for me, he went from stuck up sorcerer to easy going but extremely powerful sorcerer. He helped Bruce when he couldn't change to hulk, brought back all the avengers when they were snapped back and after I see Shang Chi this Sunday, I'm sure he'll be better since the trailer showed him fighting abomination. If he beats him, he'll be up there in power with the hulk, which is one of my favorite characters. The hulk and wolverine!

Shang Chi is better because Rayu I've seen that kind of movie a thousand times. Shang chi has never been done before and is the first asian superhero to break box-office records. And this is coming from a southeast Asian, cause I know these southeast Asian folks will come attack me and complain about not enough representation lmao. You guys are the worst.
Kai Moya who play Blue Ranger in Power Rangers Dino Fury could be best South East Asian representation in US media because he is quarter Filipino. I know he is Hawaiian, and his name is very Hawaii but his looks is more like Filipino with distant Chinese ancestry (having distant Chinese ancestry is actually common in South East Asia even in muslim majority Indonesia). He also claim that he has Chinese and Japanese ancestry, but since his skin is darker, I prefer to put him under representation of Austronesian people which cover Indigenous Taiwanese, Pacific Islanders, native New Zealanders, and Maritime South East Asians (Malays and Filipinos).
