I love the Elf! He's just amazing in everything he's ever done. Potent beautiful voice unlike any other out there. No one knew that just 10 yrs later he'd be gone, not even Ronnie saw that one coming. He's 58 here and sounds just amazing when most 50+ sound like the underside of a bad old gravel road, if not worse. Hats off to the VOICE of Metal, you came, you saw, you kicked ass to the very end.
I agree! Just keeps getting better with age. I did'nt think it was possible to sound any better that he did with Rainbow but then he upped the ante with Black Sabbath. Man was I upset when he left them but when I heard Holy Diver all was forgiven! I saw him with Black Sabbath twice in the last 18 mos and he sounds a strong as ever.
I remember back in Middle School, I was a little metal head, as were many others, but all the rest use to wear Ozzy back patches on their jean jackets, and thats cool, but I had Dio, and those simpletons just didnt get it.
@Muzzie0323 Well my friend, i don't and thousands of rockers don't consider Ozzy as a godfather of metal, coz there are many differences between both singers. First Ronnie can play & compose and sing his songs, while ozzy can't compose or play on any instrument. Second, Ronnie history and voice capability are way much better than ozzy. I liked ozzy with sabbath and his first solo albums, but at the nineties till now, he didn't exist anymore. Don't think, Admit that Dio is the metal Godfather.
Not here to condemn DIO or anyone else; however, you so called Christians that believe in the RIP doctrine, where exactly did you get that from? It sure did not come from the Bible or Jesus Christ. To tell none believers to RIP is not biblical or truthful. RIP? Not going to lie to people just to be accepted or to make others feel better about themselves.
