playing god practice sesh

been workin on this song for a few months now. it's a bit shaky but it's so much fun and the bossa nova sequence is my favorite part. Here's a raw, unfiltered practice sesh, with mistakes and all. I see this channel as a musical diary, and I want to be able to look back at this in a few months and see how far I can grow with my technique, timing (lowkey so off... need to practice with a metronome more) and musicality.
Settings some intentions... I used to play cello and I actually dug up an old audio recording of a masterclass I had where I was being told that I was just "playing with my hands." As much as I'd like to believe otherwise (due to my internal perceptions), this idea of making music playing a full-body and mind experience really resonates with me and is likely where I will try to focus my musical efforts for the next few months. I am also trying to get better at hearing/identifying chord progressions, but maybe I'm trying to do too much at once.
Not sure who I'm apologizing to other than myself, but the weekly cover series ended up being a commitment that was too large for me to make, so I'm gonna have to switch up and maybe make this an ad-hoc "upload whenever I feel like it" type deal so I don't get overwhelmed doing the things I love!
I was actually planning on uploading a Celeste Resurrections cover a few weeks ago but my FL Studio crashed and didn't backup and I lost a whole day's worth of recording and I was tilted lol
I want Tim's Nylon :D but I feel like I gotta deserve it first... maybe in a few months when I perfect this piece I'll treat myself.
