A DJ without a Black Lace record is not a DJ. Black Lace represented Great Britain in 1979 in the Eurovision Song Contest and then in 1981 split up from a four-piece act into the now famous duo that we all love or hate. In 1983, Black Lace really hit the big time when they made the Top Ten with "Superman" and in the following year with "Agadoo" and "Do The Conga". Few songs are guaranteed to raise people from their seats for years to come but these never fail, even 32 years on. Understandably, whether people are young, old or in-between, fun is always high on our list of priorities. Black Lace are exactly that - fun!! This is Black Lace, a legend in their own lunch box!

Pontins holidays in the 80’s as a child ❤
I've had this stuck in my head since like 2006 when I was 10 years old. I rediscovered this now and just like that I'm back to being a child. literal tears
Add another 15 years - I've had it in my head since 1990 infant school discos lol
@@lxdimension always takes me back to Butlins holidays when i was a kid 80's to 90's now 40 years old still love these songs
Me too since the 90s LOL 🤣🤣🤣
Me too since 2004 !
1st time I've heard this well the black lace version. I think it's quite catchy and put together well.
Before I only heard it as a kids camp song in the mid 80's
My little 1 danced to this at a resort in Spain a couple weeks ago
Flashbacks to the 1999 caravan holiday in Woolacombe ❤
RIP Colin From Black Lace
I remember doing a version of this song in a local pub in the 1980's / 1990's brilliant fun a few drinks WOW WOW
Good one and that's what this song is about even trying to sing it and singing it in your own version.
That's classic real Comedy for you and everyone there. And you all had a great brilliant fantastic time.
That's what matters.
Just a shame no one there managed to Video it to put on UA-cam uncut or Facebook uncut.
It's fun laughter guaranteed.
That's all it is.
We have to watch and be very careful with what videos we put on UA-cam as UA-cam are now coming down very heavy and if what they see is what they don't approve they scencer cut it down or won't show it at all.
That's because they have went and gone way to far and are so obsessed with all the Abnormal Bad and Wrong Unclean that's Buried far deep down inside themselves.
UA-cam have serious Dangerous Problems ,Bother Issues that's Brain Washed deep down inside themselves.
How many harmless families friendly Home videos that haven't nothing Bad Wrong of an Adults Over 18 sight Porn and all of those videos have either been removed and the Owners Baned from all Sights.
Now if it was Porn and only Unclean disgusting unacceptable inappropriate abnormal inhuman Iresponsible Fith Sex Harm Porn then we would understand and abliged.
UA-cam is or it should be a Family friendly safty sight with and for also Babies ,Children.
Something many Adults ignore.
It's not what's on the videos it's what's inside people.
Videos don't and can't and won't go around out of Human Control with Dangerous Behaviour towards anyone anywhere of any age.
And that's Something far to many Christians as UA-cam are so obsessed with believing.
Trash ,Rubbish, Garbage,Nonsense is what that is and always will be.
That's as Dum Clueless as thinking and Believing that Films ,Books, videos,Comics , Magazines, Newspapers, Websites, Internet can and change Humans into out of Human Control Dangerous Monsters.
What they watch they become and how many places of Faith Believes that nonsense garbage.
So if I watch Marry Poppins so many times will I fly away with my Brolly and jump through a Painting on the Ground.
If I watch Spiderman so many times will I become Spiderman.
If I watch a Ghost Film so many times will I become Casper the Friendly Ghost .
If its in anyone to be so consumed with only Hate ,Rage,Anger ,Damage Destruction. Inside them before they even watch any films we get a clear Pitcure knowledge understanding of who and what we are.
Back in the early ages times of when Jesus Christ was on earth where was the Films,UA-cam, TV,Websites, Internet, Comics,Magazines, Newspapers when groups of Men went around villages to Rape woman and Children and even Murder Babies ,Children under Adult age.
Far to many Faiths are Nothing but HYPOCRITES fake false pretend Nasty Venom Poision .
If its in anyone to be pure dangerous to themselves and the public they will be dangerous out of control.
Many need to wake up to the real world.
Including UA-cam.
Many just take things to serious and go way on out of control dangerous with what they think and see that's only inside themselves. It's them who have lost all control and are Dangerous.
This is and (hopefully always will be!) one of those songs you hear at any Haven / Butlins / Parkdean holiday resort. Always following the Bingo and before the evening entertainment gets underway! Not complete without then hearing Los Del Rio - Macerena, Kylie Minogue - Locomotion or even 🙈 Whigfield - Saturday Night!) GREAT times!
I remember this song from when I was small in early 90s, danced to it on my family holidays, my god takes me back to when I was small, having so much fun.
Wot its mach of the day 😂
Same here, always went on caravan site holidays as a kid the clubhouse always played it us kids loved it, think the adults did too, great memories 😀

@@jonathanstanworth6461 Match of the Day (abbreviated to MOTD) is a football highlights programme, typically broadcast on BBC One on Saturday nights, during the Premier League season
Would imagine every British person born from the late 70s to early 90s loves this song!
i dont care
Loves might be a bit much lol
Staple of the Christmas disco, along with 'Scatman' and 'Saturday night da da da da da da da da' 🤣
I was born in ‘98 and I consider it a timeless classic
Early '79.. and yeah, back when, a staple of holiday park party dances (along with' agadoo, time warp, hands up, superman etc..). Nowadays, a nostalgic cheese fest, begging to revisit when p*ssed.. either way, good times
I love how the Match Of The Day theme tune was featured in this! 🔥❤
Aaaaaaaahhhhh I can taste the fog machine, I can smell the beer, sweat and cigarettes from the carpet, and I can see the mini disco globe slowly rotating doing absolutely nothing. 😂😂😂😂 Good times
This song brings back memories...
I remember this song in my childhood years. I've not heard it for a very long time since then.....
Andy ABBA
Living it up as a kid on the dance floor at Havens in Cornwall 😂
Havens nowadays don’t even do mini discos anymore which makes my experience boring
The best memories imaginable with my dearly departed Nanny Joan ❤️
i have no idea why this song popped into my head randomly after 15 years. im more surprised that i managed to find it so quick too.
Used to dance to this at the kiddies club on holidays
My 41st birthday today, this is the first song I have listened to
happy b-day

What a memorable tune reminds me been around 7 singing me heart out at discos
This reminds me of what I call the good old days
I’ve heard this song since I was 2
my 4 and 5 year old grandsons want this played non stop
awww haha
Gonna tell my kids this is the UK anthem 🇬🇧
Why not? I like that idea
My sister has never heard this song. I remember it so vividly. There's only 5 years between us. Not sure why it's popped into my head after so many years but it's weirdly nice to hear again
My dad was a DJ in the 80s and this was his ending song. So many great memories as a kid hearing this and he was such a great role model.
We used to have to dance to this in primary school.
Walking past all of the nightclubs through the caravan park and you hear this banger. 😝
Brilliant times 🎉
I used to knock a few Panda Pops back to this in me school disco days, let me tell ya. Belter!
Best memories ever❤❤❤
Wedding dancing springs to mind.
And school discos for juniors 😅
He is the music man 🎶
He comes from far away
AND HE CAN PLAY!!!!
*down your way
My mistake! Sorry 😆
Always thought far away sounded better
@@maccacovi Both make sense, although in a version I have, he says "down the way".
I like to imagine a version with instruments you'd normally hear in pop or rock songs. And the tunes would be from popular songs from the 80s/90s.
He'd mention horns, and play the tune from The Final Countdown by Europe.
He'd mention a synth, and play the tune from Jump by Van Halen.
He'd mention a guitar, and play some famous rock guitar tune. (Top Gun Anthem maybe)
I heard this song in Turkey, in "Golden Beach" hotel, in 2000s and 2010s. It was my favourite song of my childhood.
me and my family too in Turkey - Side ❣
This song popped into in head at work and got stuck in my head for the rest of my shift
I have a mixture of abject horror, PTSD and extreme nostalgia.
Welcome
Haha every 90s kid will remember this from school discos and going Butlins etc

What an awesome track 😁👌
I'm 34 years old right now and this randomly popped in my head from my childhood lol
This reminds me of English classes in elementary grades back in mid 2000's. We started English at 2nd grade (mind it's not my native language) and we had this very sweet young teacher. We learned from Happy House franchise books those three years and our teacher would encourage us to roleplay during the songs. This song however also became a part of one of our lessons, I still remember how we all pretended to play violins during the "I am the music man" part and blew imaginary trumpets during "oompa oompa oompapa" part, I even remember that small "hey hey hey" part. I don't know by a fact if it was this version since I wasn't at that age to care for song names and titles, but I'm 100% sure this was exactly what I heard as that little kid.
They played this Song every time on the mini Disco on spain Vacation
childhood memories
Memories
Not only in Spain...
Seen them live at reighton sands back in the 80s
Played by many a DJ that counted a smoke machine and plastic tubes with fairy lights in them amongst their rig
Traffic light boxes 😅 the GOAT
The Mall anyone for the jubilee celebrations, imagine how many thousands of people, we could get doing this! Would be epic!!

My 1980s and 1990s school disco music.
This is shit hot. End of story. Better than every single in the charts for the last 20 years. Remember when we used to be British and not international? Wasn't it great?
