It took many years for me to wake up & realize that some people aren't meant to stay in your life, they are just passing through to teach you lessons. When people show you who they really are, believe them the first time.
A couple of times I got the sense of who this person was but didn't want to believe it until tonight. He was showing me who he was and I chose not to believe him. I understand now that I should have believed him the first time, especially with people he calls friends. It was a painful lesson to learn but I thank God for waking me up and showing me who this man really is.

Thank you Katy Perry, this song is what gave me the realization that I was going nowhere in my life. I than found the strength to quit being a junkie, get my life together, and be there for my kid and family. I realized I needed start a business being an artist, so I did. Now my life is great, this song will always be my guiding light reminding me which way to go in life.

Watching this after re-watching the Katy Perry Part of Me movie. The part where she can't stop crying because her relationship with Russell was ending always gets me. This song is about him, right?
No, it means the end of the Teenage Dream era and therefore adolescence as a life period. “Falling form cloud nine” refers to the real world we experience after we become adults. The reference to her as a girl, the labyrinth as the struggles in her life (Russel divorce, conflicts with her Christian parents), etc. At the end, she gives little Katy a butterfly, meaning that Teenage Dream will always be her essence.

Pretty much describes my reasons for not wanting romance at all. I've never had a wife or a girlfriend. I used to want to when I was a kid, but after learning about unhealthy and toxic relationships, along with me developing a fear of having kids due to expensive child support, along with the emotional and mental demand that the responsibility will suck out of me and the fact I did not get along with people younger than me when I was a tween, I am afraid of romance because I'm worried my partner will want kids and that will just destroy it.

When my elderly father was alive, he loved Katy. We made cds so he could listen, and he walked around our house with headphones, singing her songs. I get choked up everytime I hear her song and always whispher "miss you dad". It's a lovely reminder everytime I hear her songs.
