Moshe’s advice to Kelly is spot on. The way he talked about how her friend dominates her world. That was the most feminist thing I’ve heard a man say. “Dominate” is generally accepted as a masculine word and I really appreciate that Moshe used it to describe a woman who is good at her own life. Also, Kelly needs to spend some time learning about herself and liking herself for who she is. If she likes herself more, she won’t compare herself to others in a way that is damaging to her spirit.
As a new person to a new city I was in the same position as your first caller. I encourage you to not over explain yourself to this friend either. You can make a decision go out, if they ask “what are you doing tonight?” a complete response is “a friend invited me out!” Expand it you want but you do t have to like explain and apologize and grovel. Fences make good neighbors. Boundaries make good friends. Good luck!
11 of the most iconic holiday songs were written by Jewish composers. Christmas is mostly Pagan rites and rituals which has been coopted/colonized/missionized by Christians, and then in turn by Capitalists. So I say fuck it and celebrate this time as authentically as you can that is the most meaningful for you and your community.
This back and forth was making me giggle... Also... The religion stuff is a good conversation with kids... I addressed it with my Mom when I was 12... And, it's why I celebrate Winter... Spring... Summer... Fall... The Seasons... Peace, Love & Happy Holidays to ALL!
@@grantstonex I had the one on broadway not sure which one you normally go to but even rating it by pizza quantity control standards it was way above average but maybe I got the right person that week but I went back twice that trip
There's only 2 in Portland so similar to sizzle pie, I guess you could call that a chain because there's multiple but usually "chain" would conjure the image of some big franchise like.. California pizza kitchen, lol
I hate that so many people think Chicago pizza is only deep-dish. That's special occasion pizza. Normal Chicago pizza is thin cut in squares called tavern style.
Thank you for saying this! I didn’t know what it was called and yes… that is the more normal style and I LOVE IT! I love to eat the tiny corner triangles pieces because they are crispy.
I don't know what Moshes talking about Italian desserts are amazing, absolute fire never heard someone dislike them so much before haha the cookies are dry but they are good!!
@@Melon-LordI looked it up and it’s real. Smoking Causes Coughing is apparently a French film though so that’s probably why most of us over here haven’t heard of it yet. So I’d guess a lot of the rest of them are also either from different countries or super indie

Extroverts are energy vampires. They HAVE to be the center of attention. I had a friend who made every conversation about her and brought any attention I got back to her. When I tried to talk to her to become closer, she would be on social media posting about her travels while ignoring me who was actually on vacation with her. I felt drained hanging out with self centered extroverts and always felt bad. I had to hang out with funny introverts. It’s so much more fun. You feel included and not just in the background. I realized my friend kept me in the background.
i thought it sounded really shitty. she has a popular best friend that let her live with her in fucking NYC, and all she can do is feel inadequate and develop a resentment towards her best friend for being charismatic and energetic? its bullshit.
natasha was right though she needs to find her own space in her new city. Kelly's young, she's still learning how to navigate. But know the different personality types attract different personalities. Whst comes to mind is the scene in American beauty where the guy next door has his camera and the flirty blond is voguing in the window putting on a show but dude zooms into the wallflower sitting in the background. Are the ppl flirting with her the kind of ppl you even want to be with ?
Not all extroverts are that way. Sounds like she was just a narcissist. I had a roommate like you described, but I know many extroverts who aren't douchebags like that, Including myself.
@@rvbball1I don’t think throwing around the term narcissist is warranted here because frankly, you don’t know her and her own friend who called in said herself that the qualities her friend has are great and what makes her her. Bubbly people like that can end up sort of dominating socially without even realizing it which seems like what’s happening here. They’re just a little different and that’s ok
Moshe was great with Rick Glassman! Natasha was fun with mark and Sam🎄 We told our kid that Santa was magical. He isn’t a real being, he’s just part of the magic of Christmas. No threats of no presents. No, ‘he’s watching you all the time’. No weird lies. Just fun and magic🎄☃️🎄 We told her some people celebrate different winter time holidays and that there is no 1 correct way. Merry Holidays🎄☃️🎄
Dutch and German desserts are the bomb...Same with Denmark and Austria...there are great desserts all over Europe. I put the French at number one. Where did you ever find good pizza in Japan? I never found that anywhere in Asia at all. Asia is all about the seafood and curry
I'm moving to NYC from California on the 29th of this month. I'm absolutely fucking psyched. Does anyone have tips on meeting people in NY that is not getting on a dating app? Meeting men is easy, I want to meet women friends.
As a Mexican, I don’t understand how Mexico doesn’t make an appearance every single time world cuisines are ranked. Mexican deserts are bomb af but I guess they’re not well known to non-mexs 🤷🏽♂️ Arroz con leche, churros, flan, buñuelos, carlotas, capirotada just to name a few
To the NYC girl, flirting has become a lost art. Women used to have moves to get attention from men subtly. I’d suggest maybe asking your friend for a few pointers and practice them.

I’ve had NYC pizza but the best pizza I’ve ever had was when I went to see Moshe in Portland Oregon at a place called the blind onion.
That's a wild take lol. Blind Onion is essentially a pizza chain around here. Tasty 'za but nothing special.
