- This is why my channel has its name. Way back when I first joined UA-cam, I was into antique tractors. I restored this tractor back in 2001 and just finished a repaint to freshen it up. Enjoy the ride!
Also love the sound of the 2 lung JD
That's a very nice John Deere tractor
Thank you!
Really tuned well
Beautiful tractor and sound. Definitely could listen to that all day.
Thanks! I hated letting that one go but all it did was sit and that's no good for them. Especially nowadays with this lousy gas. The D has a sound of its own for sure.
Thanks for watching and take care!
I did listen that sound all day many of days mowing raking hay in the sixties 1938 jd G 14 yrs old 7 miles south of Mo valley iowa wouldn't trade it for nothin.
Just something about that Putt Putt! It definitely gets in your blood!
That tractor is beautiful a good job restoring it and the new repaint you did on it. I've got a 1941 B and a 49 Mt, the B was bought in 2002 my dad got it running and painted it. My grandfather bought the MT back in '49.
Thank you! Sounds like you have some nice ones too. I just live the sound and simplicity of those old two cylinders. Thanks for watching!!
U can’t beat the sound
You got that right!

I can listen to this all day! I love them old John Deeres!
I hear ya! Mechanical music!
My grandfather & my dad use to have a John Deere dealership in Essex Ontario Canada back in the 50’s & 60’s.
That’s so cool! I know there are many old two cylinder Deeres up in Canada. I drove from PA all the way north of Calgary to Crossfield to buy my 1960 JD 830. The guy was still farming with it. Thanks for watching!
We have one that was my great grandpas and my grandpa rebuilt it it’s on rubber tires and has no fenders. We call it the Johnny pop! Great video sir!
Awesome and thank you!
Nice '35!
I'm in the process of restoring a '37
Thanks! and thanks for watching!!
Awesome video I got an old 1936 D I plan on restoring soon I always love learning more about these beautiful machines
Thanks for watching! I love the sound of the D.
I've been looking for this sound and feeling quite nostalgic. My Dad drove one of these for decades on our apple farm in Ohio. We called it the Putt-putt tractor. When he retired, Deere rep bought it and supposedly sent it to Iowa for restoration. One of our farm hands started it in the barn one day, but couldn't stop it, so it went through the wall. Great video. Thanks for the memories!
Im glad you enjoyed it. One of the best sounds out there to my ear. Thanks for watching!
My father had a 1931 gp one of them 3 row things
Nice! I always wanted a GP. They had a sound of their own. Thanks for watching!
I've been looking for this, to hear this sound again! My Dad drove one of these for decades on our apple farm in Ohio. We called it the Putt-putt tractor. When he retired,a Deere rep bought it and supposedly sent it to Iowa for restoration. One of the farm hands started it up one day in a barn but couldn't stop it and it went through the wall.

Beautiful music!
One of my favorite sounds next to the two cylinder diesels like the R thru the 830
Awesome tractor. You should get a chromed steel exhaust stack on it, imo.
Thanks! Yep, chrome pipes look pretty cool!
@@jdman7170 I think it looks nice regardless of what the exhasut stack looks like
Dad started farming with a 1936 model a in 1946.
Lots of memories with these old tractors. Thanks for watching!

U had 2 start them on gas then after engine got hot U change them over 2 kerosene it's a liw grade fuel and doesn't have the power gas does 😮😮 later alot of people would start them on gas and leave them gas running kerosene U had 2 change back gas be 4 U cut the tractor off it wouldn't start on kerosene that's why they run them on gas and left 👈 on gas 😊😊 OMG 8 31 2O23
