It's always funny to see people of Italian descent teach Italian recipes and almost imply that their ancestry automatically makes them more knowledgeable but they can't even pronounce Italian words correctly
I love Vincenzo for his great takes on traditional recipes. But I'm not crazy about they way he criticizes people for doing their own thing. People should cook what they like, and eat what they like. Recipes don't fall out of the sky from heaven. Every recipe, not matter how traditional, started out as people doing their own thing with other traditional recipes. Ingredients available change, cultures evolve. Even the most traditionally Italian dish you can think of, when it first started being cooked that way there were certainly people complaining about how it was the "wrong way" to do something they considered traditional. I see this a lot with "authentic" chefs. They get an idea in their heads about what is "authentic," usually based on the standard form of the recipe from late 19th to early 20th centuries, completely ignore the fact that they're looking at a snap shot in time, and that food evolves. I get that, because that's my favorite time period for cuisine as well -- especially early 20th century. But other forms of those dishes -- older forms, newer forms, unique and personalized forms -- aren't "wrong." They're just different. Variety is the spice of life, after all :)

Yeah… no words
My grandmother made gnocchi just like your grandma , and she was born in Argentina ( molti italiani) .
The orange 🍊 was the last straw 😂
😂😂😂🤦♂️
Please make a brown butter/sage gnocchi recipe for us, Vincenzo! I can't believe how badly that guy botched the entire procedure.
I will, for sure!
still tastes good
Just …no, Adam. No.
Well said 👏🏻👏🏻
Adam really annoyed me in this video. Typical noncultured American attitude when it comes to food.
Ah, different tastes for different folks! 🍝🇺🇸 Let's keep spreading the love for authentic Italian cuisine! 😄🇮🇹👨🍳
This video is making me angry and I don't even know much about cooking "authentic" Italian food!!! Geeze..
Ahahhaha my goddd 🤦♂️🤦♂️
It's always funny to see people of Italian descent teach Italian recipes and almost imply that their ancestry automatically makes them more knowledgeable but they can't even pronounce Italian words correctly
Hahaha you’re so right 👏🏻
adam literally never does that what
I love Vincenzo for his great takes on traditional recipes.
@@Revelwoodiethank you!!!
Adam made me quit my subscription to his channel by that, and he will never ever get it back. Sure he does not care, but I do.
Well done my friend
@@vincenzosplate You're rooting for people to unsubscribe from other people's channels? I unsubscribed from yours for taking such a Nationalistic and simple minded approach to this. You also are so unlike Uncle Roger because he says for people to be nice and here you are upvoting or commenting people to degrade someone else? That's rude and cold Vincenzo and if it's really not you managing your social media you should have a stern talk with the social media manager for promoting such poor behaviors.
@@vincenzosplate Have some self respect, encouraging people to unsub from another youtuber. Who do you actually think you are? Clown
I do not care in the slightest, but I do care about people not understanding that people have different tastes.
@@TheCheesecanFinally someone who agrees…
Honest about our palette? He doesn't like gnocchi because he doesn't know what the heck he's doing. And especially badmouthing it over the internet is very rude to Italians. I will never subscribe to that guy.
Just lol.
He probably doesn’t even know the real gnocchi
He doesn’t like it because he doesn’t like it. Simple as that. He’s not being “rude”, just being honest.
Even your hair got whiter because you watched Adam Ragusea Italian recipes. 🧓🏼
hahahaha soooo true
Fried gnocchi is a thing - you cook it and just lightly fry in a butter and sage sauce to get a crisp bottom 🫣 It’s been around for quite a while and using left over potatoes is common - poor you you’re horrified 😂
