I loved Starrett's westerns~ always great entertainment, silly comic relief, and his fistfights were NOT interminable! @31:13, the lawyer "thumb-strikes" a match. Back when we had access to white-tipped, 'strike anywhere' matches, I also did that till a grain of flaming material got stuck in my thumbnail. Cured me of THAT practice! 😵
i have seen 55 of the 65 charles starrett durango kid movies. the 10 i have never found are RUSTLERS OF THE BADLANDS 1945, FRONTIER GUN LAW 1946, EL DORADO PASS 1948, QUICK ON THE TRIGGER 1948, RENEGADES OF THE SAGE 1949, FRONTIER OUTPOST 1949, TEXAS DYNAMO 1950, RAIDERS OF TOMAHAWK CREEK 1950,
This was one of those Durangos where the action lags because there's too much hillbilly music, too much Smiley and not enough Durango. He comes in about 13 minutes into the plot just to throw a few shots...The bad guys deliver that famous line "It's the Durango Kid..after him." This gets the action started.
I’m a big fan of the show i love watching the old movies ❤
Just saw this with my mom and lordy I've been missing out!
