Rick Grimes has come a long way since his "We don't kill the living." days. Andrew Lincoln made Rick's transformation from howdy-do-dee sheriff to badass survivor leader so believable. You can just feel every emotion his character goes through. When you see Rick's reaction when he loses someone close to him it's like a punch to the gut. Truly deserving of best actor in a TV show award.

Negan isnt going to die, Rick wants to be better than Negan, and what they did, and with him out of the way and their army, they start working towards civilizing again, and stop focusing on the threat, and instead focus on the future. Negan is held captive, and is later used to Ricks advantage in the next war.
