New to your channel, your content is excellent. I am very curious on the last hunt shown where the arrow path was and if you caught a single lung? From the shot placement it shouldn’t have gone more than 50 yards.
Got both lungs and nicked the heart. He went a looong ways. Sometimes these giant bears just walk rather than run, so they are not using up much oxygen.
The first one, the "bucket bear" I always told not to shoot at a standing bear cause when they stand up their vitals fall down towards the stomaches, from where they normally are at. Hunting with a bow you don't carry a pistol? The biggest one I ever shot , 348lbs Maine bear and thought he was dead tracked him and that beast stood up on me , had to be 7ft tall or more and I about soiled myself. So I always have a pistol with me bow hunting now, a wounded bear is about as dangerous as it gets. He would of died but it was biggest bear ever and I was way too excited to wait to go after it. So two lessons learned , when it doubt wait to track and if I'm hunting with a bow alone , I have a pistol with me.
@@adammattheis940 what are you talking about? How.did I claim to be a lucky one? Only time black bears attacks a human is if your in the middle of a mom and her cubs. Black bears eat berries, grasses and such, not much meat at all. And even if one person gets killed a year by a black bear, more people die from bees and hitting deer with cars so don't know exactly your trying to make for a point but fail.
There are multiple cases of black bears preying on humans. If you are attacked by a black bear you are more likely to be eaten than if you are attacked by a grizzly.
What broadheads have you had the most luck with, Bernie? Ive got bears with rockets....I know everyone has a favorite, just wondering, with that many bears killed with a bow, which were you most impressed with?
I am using slick tricks. I killed quite a few bears with Ulmer Edge, but I have gone back to fixed blades. This video has more: ua-cam.com/video/3ohp6-0bgOc/v-deo.html

Far more than one per year.

Great collage of bear hunts! When I saw the shot of the last bear my first thought was too low and was wondering if you missed the heart low ?
Got both lungs and nicked the heart. The bear only ran about 30 yards then started walking. They can walk a along ways.
congratulations
Tank!
Awesome hunts
Glad you enjoyed
Since you've shot 35 bears, do you continue to get them mounted or have rugs made? If not what do you do with them?
I sell or give away the hides. If one happens to be really special I would still mount it or make a rug.

Awesome!!
Thanks!
Awesome! Did you ever get an approximate weight on that last bear you had to quarter out?
Pretty sure it was right at 500 pounds. All of us had seen several 350-400-pounders and this one was a lot bigger.
Talking to much
Thanks for sharing.
