A little something to note... I had watched your video tour of the real house a few times, researched the real house, and have recently watched the movie. I think it's safe to assume very little, if any of the movie was shot inside the real house, only the exterior and the decks. The rest of course was filmed in studios. From what I was able to tell in the movie, the real house didn't even have electricity hooked up during the time it was used as a prop... The meter box and weatherhead (it used to have overhead service at its old location) was build around and covered by a makeshift shed. Most likely, generators were onside to run lights and to also provide power to build the decks (which were torn down after movie filming concluded - and were rebuilt after the home was moved to its current location). The home in the movie was themed to be much, much older than the real house, probably themed to be from the 40s or 50s. The real house was built in 1988. Much of the floorplan inside the house in the movie is not like the real house. The interior doors were of a much older vintage. The kitchen in the movie was near the center (kitchen is in the rear of the real house), and the blue room was on the ocean side with balcony access (bedroom on the south facing side of the real house was themed to be like the blue room). Even in the movie, the sliding door in the panaround of the real house doesn't match the same door seen when Richard Gere is first settling in and looking outside at the ocean. I have to give the owners a huge credit for saving the real house from falling into the ocean, and doing the best they could to make the inside of it resemble the house in the movie. It's a nice place!

I love old Beach houses. I think of them as dated but nostalgic of simpler times. Those walls have a long life of stories to tell. I saw where they have renovated it tho. 😢
Oh my gosh!!!!!! That house is HUGE!!!!!! You wouldn't know it to look at it. Dang! Very cool!
Surfing was so good out in front of that house before it was moved down the beach and saved from the ocean. I remember surfing there while they were filming the movie but didn't know what the movie was at the time. They were shooting aerial shots with a helicopter that day.
That is awesome! I am not a surfer, but I love the ocean :)

I have not seen the movie but I will have to watch it. The beach views are beautiful! I would sit outside all day!

I've watched the movie numerous times over & .. tried to imagine how it would feel to do just exactly what you're doing . Actually staying there ! I knew the couple who bought this house.. then moved it.

Oh to be at the beach this month for our family beach vacation we had to cancel due to being afraid to travel during this pandemic 😫I would live in that house just the way it is. I love the theme to the whole house. Have fun and be safe 😷

What a fun tour!
I have watched my DVD movie of " Nights In Rodanthe many times. The beach area speaks well as an Attraction to OBX for any tourist. The relocation move of the Sarindipity house was masterful.

How much was it to stay?
Did the horses run for you. They were beautiful in the movie. This movie has been out a very long time.
You can see the horses in Corolla..you are not allowed to approach them nor feed them. Don’t forget to air down before you drive on the beach.
When will sample Sunday be back?
Love the movie but this house is too grungy for me...stale carpeting especially! I love vintage stuff but this house could have been updated in a more modern “vintage” and incorporate more of the movie 🍿 like Richard Geer! 🥰😉
The only part of this house in the movie was the exterior. The interior filming was all done in a studio.
