As an outsider (Protestant), I can't think of a more bone-headed way to divide the Catholic Church than restricting the Latin Mass. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm Orthodox, and I agree. It's also weird considering how many different rites there are in the Catholic Church.

Yeah, that's kind of the point. We're being destroyed by our own leaders, and the average Catholic doesn't understand that. And probably wouldn't care if they did. This is a multi-pronged issue, we can blame Bergoglio all we want, he deserves it. But the bigger problem is all the Catholics who either put up with it or drop out altogether - neither one solves anything.
The only thing we can do now is hope something happens Deus ex machina - from God through the machine. Cuz I sure as heck ain't ready for that rain of fire yet. 😬

The reality is that Jesus said to 'pray for YOUR enemies' which is wholly different than 'pray for Francis'. Jesus showed how to oppose the Pharisees, and never said to 'pray for Pharisees'. The Baptist called them 'brood of vipers', which is at once judging them and insulting them.

I am so saddened, to the point I feel losing focus on the Holy Spirit. I cherish my daily 6:30am TLM. We aren’t bothering anybody. It’s brought me so much closer to Christ. It’s helped me become a better Catholic father a son. I don’t understand why people growing close to Christ is a bad thing.

We will lose our Traditional Latin Mass, which has been taking place at a parish here for about 30 years. The closest FSSP mass is 250 miles away.

What some people don't understand is that aesthetics are important. Beauty is not idolatry, but stands on itself. The TLM has a totality of of beauty - not merely the liturgy, but the redos, rail, statuary, music, architecture, etc.. Because one finds one beauty in one over the other - it's no more idolatry than preferring Beethoven over folk music or wanting to visit a museum rather than the beach.

The very purpose of Quo Primum was to ensure universal, timeless, consistency and unity of the liturgy for Church, not just the Latin Rite, "in perpetuity." It only grandfathered rites that had existed for the previous 200 years because they had passed through 200 years of Church authority and review to prove their equivalence to the Latin liturgy in theological accuracy, validity and holiness. No Pope has a right to change that which the Church already said can never be changed.
"And we grant and allow, by Apostolic authority and for ever, according to the tenor of these presents, that they may from now on follow this same missal entirely when singing or reciting Mass, in any church whatever without any scruple of conscience, and without incurring any penalties, sentences, or censures, and that they may be able and have the power to use it freely and lawfully. We likewise order and declare that Prelates, Administrators, Canons, chaplains and other secular priests, by whatsoever name they are called, or regular priests of any order, may not be obliged to celebrate Mass in any other way than that which we have ordered; and that they cannot be forced or compelled by anybody to change this missal, and that this present letter cannot at any time be revoked or modified, but that it shall always remain firm and valid in its force." .....This means that disobedience, rejecting or contradicting Quo Primum is disobedience to the Church.
Amen. We attended a Church that celebrated both Masses. The priest was amazing and the Novos ordo was as long and reverent as the TLM there. He said he studied the actual documents of V2 and thought that there was to be the use of Gregorian Chants as well as Latin. He also celebrates100% facing altar as well as using incense alter rail and only receiving on tongue and on knees unless there is a disability. It was amazing. I just don’t understand why all Catholics aren’t demanding that reverence as well as the Bishops

When I am upset at the evil attacks against the Bride of Christ, I remember this scripture. It is every bit as true now as 2,000 years ago when Jesus said it.
My wife and I are here in Econe and witnessed the Ordinations today. A great reminder that as the Modern "Counterfeit" Catholic Church continues on its own perilous path, Traditional Catholicism is alive and well and the Spirit of Archbishop Lefebvre lives on. Going to Mass tomorrow at his Crypt and personally going to thank him. He saved my faith. What a hero. God Bless the SSPX! While we only live 5 minutes from our booming SSPX Chapel, we would drive hours or move closer if that's what it took to be at an SSPX Chapel. It is our life and THE ONLY PLACE THAT PRACTICES TRUE CATHOLICISM. Every other source of the TLM (Diocesan, FSSP, ICTK, etc.) has made some compromise with Modern Freemasonic Rome. You are blessed to be so close. I live an hour outside of Savannah. I drive to our Sunday TLM there. I will have a three hour drive to Jacksonville, FL if our TLM is canceled.

The use of Latin is what made the Church One, and Catholic. No matter where you went the world over, the Mass was the same and you could understand and participate. Now, I go to Mass in a different city and wonder if I have even fulfilled my obligation.
About the changes that happened in the Latin Mass was a a remark by a devout priest who told me, ‘ that before ,he looked and offered prayers facing the Cfucifix, now l face a bevy of women with short skirts ……. it is very annoying.

Does anybody else worry about the massive drop in Grace that flows from the TLM? I suspect that the darkness we've seen in the world is going to look like dusk, compared to the coming darkness. The devil knows where the Grace that thwarts his plans in the world flows from. Pray much and if you can get to more SSPX, FSSP, ICK, etc. and bring others, do so. Ave Maria.
Padre Pio said the earth could lose the sun but not the Mass, a diming of grace due to fewer Traditional Masses will darken the world. Maybe bring on the 3 days darkness.

Regarding the propagation of the Faith and its proper practice, 'Il Vaticano' is a total irrelevance. Moreover, we might note that since the proclamation of the Assumption of Our Lady as dogma in 1950, the Church has made no such proclamation? So, why the stress?
As to worshiping in the Novus Ordo, how is any mature Catholic to do this via a form of the Mass that leans heavily on the principles of a Protestant service?
We must remember it’s the thorough and excellent formation that the Canons from the Institute, and the formation of the FSSP receive in seminary. They teach all the Sacraments to their parishioners, therefore these people receive the benefit of the priests formation. Their homilies include the words, sin, hell, Purgatory, grace, Transubstantiation, and on and on. God bless these priest, and the excellent work they are doing to build up the Body of Christ.

This whole situation of turmoil is indicative of the death throes of the “spirit” and failed experiments of the SVC. Second Vatican Council. The generation that embraced it are dying off and are seeing the tide of tradition making a comeback, especially with the younger priests. The 70+ year olds as I refer to them “the aging hippies,” are dismayed. The modernist empire is striking back, trying to stop the return to tradition. Lashing out as they go to their eternal rewards! We need to support the younger priests and encourage them to stay strong. Pray unceasingly yes but act locally. Since 2023, in the Orlando, Florida diocese, to be in communion with Rome, there are 23 churches offering the Traditional Eastern rite, the Byzantine, Maronite, Syro-Malabar, and the Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. Currently, there are 13 churches offering Latin mass that are no longer considered to be in communion with Rome, which includes the SSPX in Sanford. There are a total of 80 Novus Ordo and Eastern Rite churches combined, 11 missions, two Basilicas, 36 schools, and hundreds of ministries provided in many languages, except Latin. This diocese covers almost 11,300 square miles and spans 9 counties. So, if you are traveling to central Florida and want to attend a Traditional Latin Mass, you won't find one in the Roman rite. If I am in error, please let me know.
All souls, in Sanford. St Anthony's, in Brooksville. Sacred Heart, in Orlando. and the one we attend, at Queen of Peace, in Ocala, FSSP
Wether the Masses are offered daily or weekly only (as at the Ocala parish) the TLM is available.
The Orlando diocese is Hugh, covering lots of land, four places aren't nearly enough to have the TLM available, but it is still/currently offered.
No word that it might be removed, as of now anyway.
You are correct, there are quite a few various options available via other rites, in union with the Catholic Church.
In Brevard County there is St Luke's that offers the traditional Latin mass at noon and very close is St John of the Cross which is actually in the Palm Beach diocese, but just a 50-minute drive from Brevard County. It's actually much closer driving to Sanford
Sorry I meant to say that driving to St John of the Cross is actually much closer than driving to Sanford and St John of the cross has Latin mass at 6:00 p.m. on every holy day
@janethiser1991 I used to drive down to St. John of the Cross. Beautiful mass, beautiful church! If I understand correctly, St. Luke's was only offering Latin mass twice a month, first and third Sundays, 1:00 PM, and then they stopped. I called the office several times to inquire about the Latin mass and never received a call-back. Looking on-line, it is not one of the churches listed as offering the Latin mass. Admittedly, I have not checked since September of last year as I now attend a church in Melbourne.
@janethiser1991 I attended All Souls a number of times, as well as St. John of the Cross in the Palm Beach diocese, both about equal distance from my home. Quite the drive either way. Thank you for the corrections. I have not checked the other two churches you mentioned. As you probably know, any TLM mass schedules and advertising for the TLM have been suppressed. St. Joseph's used to offer Latin mass twice a month, and they stopped as of last year.
No Latin Mass? No Eastern Rite Mass near you? Novus ordo lacking in reverence, sin being ignored or actually promoted? Move. But if that’s not possible, just practice the Faith in as much as you can. Try to find a small group to meet on Sunday to read missal, Rosary, etc. If you’re alone, then be a hermit. Practice the Faith as well as you can on your own. All of Heaven, the Saints, Our Lady, Our Lord Himself can not be banned. Can you find a live stream or recorded Mass online? But I’d even that can’t be done, become the Lone Trad Ranger.
I would add reach out to a traditional community for guidance as to your situation. Japan survived without priests for many years so you'll not be the first, social media might be used to attract a group big enough for an independent traditional priest as well. We don't have to hide, we can speak openly without fear, God bless.

My suspicions are that Grillo (cricket in Italian) is a bourgeois leftist in his political thinking. In Europe many of the anti WEF and anti open border immigration types, most specifically in Italy, do attend the TLM, where, gasp, they gather to plot! Most notably Matteo Salvini who is of this persuasion, does, to my knowledge, attend the TLM. Matteo once waved a rosary at one of his rallies in support of a Catholic italy and the Italian bishops suffered an apoplectic attack. It was like waving a crucifix or garlic before the undead. Georgia Meloni on her first Francis visit gave him Maria Montessori's explanation of the TLM for children. Hint Hint! It is this, behind Oz curtain, that inspires the emperor of the Emerald city to go on the attack. Much of this animus is politics behind a shallow religious facade. Buried in what you read is the subtle but secular political concerns that the TLM thwarts! As the acolyte to globalism Francis has a duty to serve his masters. It is not just on the religious front that those sympathetic to the TLM are viewed as obstacles to be overcome and crushed. Culture and politics are downstream from religious belief.

What is distinctive about the Novus Ordo Church, anyway? Barrenness is the impression most associated with NO churches, which are just slightly more aesthetic than warehouses and other ''big box'' buildings. The interiors of NO Churches are stark, mostly walls and few scarcely adorned with Catholic iconography. Any NO Church could easily be converted into a mosque at little expense. The word sanctuary hardly applies to the space which the NO table, so unlike an altar of Sacrifice, occupies along with the "Presider's Chair'' and two other seats. Basically, the NO is a reading service, which includes a Last Supper narrative that poorly substitutes for the Canon of the Mass. However, Novus Ordo worship centers not on the Eucharist, but on the people assembled there. Remember that Paul VI said that the Eucharist is only one of 8 different ways that Christ is present to us. Moreover, the presence of Christ in the Eucharist is no greater than the presence of Christ in each one of us. So, with that incredible assertion, the Mass is no big deal if Christ is already present in each one of us. This inner Christ indwelling each of us 24 hours of every day and night, seems far more important to everyone, than the mere symbolic presence of Christ received in Novus Ordo Communion, that fades in psychological effect after a minute or two. The Novus Ordo is a spiritually sterile, empty rite imposed on the Faithful under threat of Mortal Sin and Eternal Damnation for refusing it as the official worship of the Catholic Church. Whereas, the Traditional Latin Mass has transformed millions of souls into Saints for centuries! There is a false accusation that the TLM, itself, is a product of gradual change and evolution. Not so! Saint Paul was granted the extraordinary grace of sustained visionary experience whereby for three years in the remoteness of Arabia, the Lord Christ revealed to him the entirety of the Tradition of the Catholic Church. When Saint Paul told his converts to ''hold fast to the Tradition that we have given you'', that Tradition had already been formed by the Holy Ghost in Heaven ages before the end of the First Century. And our Traditional Latin Mass, foreseen by Saint Paul, was part of Divine Tradition from its beginning, and so utterly unlike the Novus Ordo which is nothing but a product of the sexually corrupt and infidel 1960's. The Novus Ordo should be junked along with everything else from that perverted decade.
