- CRAZY PRICES For REPOSSESSED CARS At Auction!
In this video, we'll show you some of the CRAZY PRICES for REPOSSESSED CARS at auction. You won't believe how much dealers are Actually paying for their cars and trucks!
My name is Brandon and I am a used car dealer. I created Car Questions Answered to share the ins and outs of the used car market from my perspective. I share with you updates on car prices, what's happening at the dealer auctions, and what it's like being a dealer. My goal is to share information to help you make the best decisions while buying a car to save you money. I do not want car dealers taking advantage of you.
Thanks for watching and please feel free to leave any comments you may have in the section below!

I like when you preview a car in the lot then immediately cut to the same car being auctioned. Well done. Very entertaining.
Yep this is a good format.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good format
Yes keep that format up.I have a short attention span 😂
Could you tell us what prices you think they should be making and then what they actually make
You would have to pay me $2800.00 to take that Chrysler 300 pile of destroyed junk. 😀 Thanks for sharing Brandon 👍
Dealers are crazy for paying those high prices for rolling pieces of junk.
Recon costs are nothing. Recons can get their own paint booth now.
They'll put it on the lot at "we finance everyone!" Some sucker will pay over book value plus 30% interest with a loan from Credit Acceptance. Then in 6 months it'll be back at the repo auction.
Plenty of expensive junk on marketplace being sold.
I agree but they have very low inventory. They need used cars to sell. This is the reason used car prices aren't dropping.
@@BruceLee-xn3nnlol I was thinking the same thing, I’m looking for a cheap commuter car work and fb marketplace is crazy with their prices, 5-6k + for Nissans, Toyotas and Hondas with 200k+ miles.
I spent 18 months babysitting thousands of unsold Chevy and GMC trucks with sticker prices north of 90k, and I always wondered who would buy these things.
people with money and careers lol
@@benevolent2077 My point exactly, these trucks are not being built for the average person making 60k a year.
@@benevolent2077even the average income cant afford a 100k truck lol or they just pretend they can until 1 financial problem almost makes them homeless
I’m going to start asking girls to send me pics of the interior of their car before I even think of dating them
😂😂😂 many will fail
My grandmother was almost pressured on trading in a Toyota Highlander 2018 for a newer model. I told her no because of the crazy rates she is gonna pay in her car notes in the future. The worst part is that IT ONLY GOT 24K miles on it. I'm so glad she listened. We're now getting prepared for tough times ahead. I appreciate these videos that you're bringing out to keep my grandmother informed and myself.💀
My mother gets pressured all the time to "upgrade" her 2019 Outback with 25k on it.
My Sister-In-Law took her 110,000 mile 2010 Lexus RX350 in to Lexus of Orlando for an A/C compressor replacement last month. She bought it there used in 2015. They gave her a 2024 Lexus ES350 as a loaner car. Who gets a 2024 loaner car for a repair on a 13-year-old dealer maintained Lexus? The person the dealer thinks they can low-ball on their high-demand, perfectly good Lexus SUV. They asked her no less than three times if they could buy her RX350 from her and "put her in a new Lexus". 🙄
That highlander will easily give you over 300k miles great work on keeping it.
She owes you a big thank you. Not only has quality tanken a dump since the pandemic, she most likely would have given up a V6 for a turbo 4 cylinder.
@@GregVTthat’s their job as salesmen. They have to push people to buy new cars. If they don’t do it, they could get fired. Also, salespeople make a lot of their money on commission. Just put yourself in their shoes. Just politely decline and move on
I’m always amazed to see how people kept their cars so dirty like that 😊
Probably looks similar to their house and their finances, janky.
It kept my '85 Dodge Aries K from being stolen for decades.
Some people are just trash 🗑️
@@wileecoyote5749 i promise you people that steal cars dont care at all how dirty it is. its an old dodge, not worth stealing
@@paulpierce21 alot of people. **fixed
A ten year old truck going for $20k is insane
Yeah the value of our currency is crashing. Prices aren't going up. It'll get worse before it gets better.
@@noname-oe9jy Yeah this is rarely mentioned among factors for rising prices.
There is a reason the bitcoin price is 12 million in Argentina, and they're stock market looks like the biggest bubble ever.
This format of looking at the vehicle and then going to the price I think is a superior format. Easier and more enjoyable to watch.
Going to be a long time before I buy anything. Prices are absolutely insane.
its going down
No. It’s. Not
@@ericstevens8744 for wholesale numbers are down. I’m finding deals all day every day
I'm surprised the drivers aren't wearing HAZMAT suits driving the repos!
Can't believe 10+ year old cars are getting repo'ed, meaning people still own money on something that old. And can't believe how much car dealers are paying. Thanks for your honesty and video.
People that are desperate but then from lots that have crazy interests just to get by
Prices are still completely out of control. It's odd with the amount of repos in circulation that pricing would still be high.
Someone thinks they can do a bit of cheap work on it and flip it..
Maybe they win, maybe they dont..
This big picture here is why are dealers still fighting over overpriced junk when there is so many cars to be had?
I keep hearing this yet prices stay up
I'm genuinely surprised that pick up trucks aren't flooding the repo market.
Working mans the only person buying them or retirees. The kind of person getting repo'd isn't going to get clout/approved for a nice truck when they can get a charger/challenger at half the price.
Going to take a little longer for those defaults since they're typically a little more financially secure that they can pretend the math works longer then the Challenger crowd. I'd imagine if things continue you'll see them piling up in a year to 18 months. 'See me' culture is the most important thing to the middle class pop country crowd, they'll drag themselves down to the point where it's either the house or the shiny truck before they start smelling the coffee.
Vehicles who's owners use workboots don't get repoed
@@rodger7029Most? Idk if I'd say that. Everyone I know that owns a pickup uses the bed or tows something. Maybe one or two who doesn't. Guess it depends on where you live maybe? Idk...
@@PrimalRampageGaming You'd be surprised at how many younger people buy them as their daily driver. I see them all the time on Silverado forums asking what mods they should do. So they just bought a new truck, have a high interest loan on it and immediately want to drop thousands of dollars into modding it. I imagine it's the same on the Ford and Ram forums. That jacked up Tundra in the repo lane is probably a prime example of that. That truck probably had $80k put into it and now it's worth $40k and the owner still owed $50-60k on it.
Still crazy prices; as a consumer i wouldn't pay more than 1800 for the 300 and no more than 5k for Malibu
Shit I'd barely spend 5k for a new Malibu...
American consumers are idiots. As long as people will grossly overpay for vehicles NOTHING WILL CHANGE. For months we have been hearing about how rising interest rates would force cars and houses to come down in price. It will not happen as long as stupid consumers are breathing air.
Don’t worry, those dealers will be auctioning their mistakes in a few months.
Buy here pay here lots in the hood can run it through 3-4 single baby mommas and collect enough loan balances and $500 down payments to make that 300 profitable before it lands in a spare parts yard.
Over $10K for repo-ed Jeep with 140K miles on it. Insane.
Always, always enjoy it when you go to the auctions! The one thing that really stands out about this particular auction is that almost all the automobiles you are showing us are mostly junk and very nasty inside. Love your channel.
At the Dallas Auto Auction most of the cars would get detailed and PDR before running them through but a lot of them was off lease. The only ones that really went as is was repos and little as is auctions
The better condition in and out cost a lot more because the condition reports are higher so like anything it's a price to pay.
I really like this format of reviewing the car and watching it go thru the auction. Great work!
Glad you enjoy it!
@@carquestionsansweredwhere is it? Thanks
The fact that the practical Toyota models are getting repo'd is a bad sign for the state of the American consumer.
Wow what a great version of your video...I'm sure it was a lot of work to edit this, but for my old man memory it makes it much easier for me to remember what car you are giving prices for. Thank you so much!
I appreciate you and your videos!! Happy Monday and Labor Day!!
Same to you!
These are selling for more than I expected. There isn't much margin to be made with these repos.
Someone else pointed out that most will go to 'Buy Here, Pay Here' lots. They will clean these cars up a bit, and sell them to some hard luck character. The collect a $1K down payment and maybe 9 or 10 months worth of payments before they repo the car and repeat the process 3-4 time and then it's off to the scarp yard.
The banks sometimes get more than what is owed that’s why they are quick to repo 😂
@@fairfax_fran5109 normally they are quick to repo when the person who owes money ducks their calls and notices. Most actual banks would much rather work with the person and get the payments coming in than going through a repo. Also, if they "get more" which almost never happens they are required to refund the amount (after fee's and penalties - repo's and paperwork/manhours aren't free - so yeah that never happens).
How do people not clean or take care of their vehicles. Sometimes, I have trash from constant work and running around time but no stains and everything gets picked up asap. Most of the time my car is clean inside and out!
I appreciate your info and the behind the scenes edits! I do internal training videos and relate with editing and me messing up narratives-keep on keepin on
Thank you for the video. It’s really neat to see the inside of those auctions. Remember, Tyler, when he first started his UA-cam channel he walked us around auctions to.
Great information!
Really like your channel. Helps keep the consumers up to date on what goes on behind the scenes.
I wouldn't want to be the guy that has to drive some of them nasty cars through the auction.
thanks for posting
Thank you Brandon for the update 😎😎👍👍
Came from auto auction rebuilds channel, Can confirm your videos are fire, New sub gained lol.
Love your auction videos as they give us retail consumers a glimpse of car pricing.
Excellence as Brando and Alex, great audio, hilarious bloopers, strong.
50 grand for a truck that’s crazy
Thats more than I would pay for a brand new teuck.. absolute insanity
@@jmmywyf4lyfThen you are not getting a new truck for awhile.
@@shaunwood2365ever* the only truck you get under 50k comes with a useless v6/eco boost.
@@shaunwood2365that’s the point. Everyone needs to think like that to put these dealers back in their lane.

Another great video, thanks.
Great editing in this video!
Good bideo
Keepem comin
This is a great format.
How can people drive around sitting in absolute filth?!? Disgusting.
Because they themselves are disgusting. These are the entitled ones that live on gov assistance. Don't want to work. They are un disciplined in every way. No doubt their homes are even worse. Its crazy how some live in this country. Probably on meth and other drugs. They literally don't care anymore about being responsible. There are allot like that now.
Love this format
Cool video idea; if you can track down one of the people whose car is at the auction I'd love to know what the car repoed at and what it went for. There's a great story in there during the process.
I only drive manuals. But those days are slowly coming to an end. That is why I drive old cars.
Fantastic video Thank you! 😁👌
Glad you liked it!
I can drive a standard. I find it very helpful in the ice/snow. (1st gear, 2nd gear… no brakes.) AWD is more expensive to buy & maintain, but that is what I am looking for in my future vehicle. I had not thought about someone test driving and burning the clutch. You would have to really try to do that. 😂
✨ Thanks for sharing. ✨
Thank You‼️
i worked at an auto auction detailing interiors....and the repo cars....manager said we can keep anything not bolted down....I got so much money, jewelry, drugs, speakers, amps, cd players, and sometimes 2 week old hamburger in the trunk....oooooffff
😂 sounds interesting honestly
Thanks for these auction videos! I think it would be great if you added timestamps on your description for each vehicle, with Year, make model and mileage possibly.
Good video. Leaving the mistakes in the video is working. More believable and still funny lol
Thanks for doing this. Very informative on various levels. This is reality of the recession the financial talking heads are reluctant to tell everyone. Be well.
Keep the bloopers in the videos!!! I think it makes it entertaining as well.😂🤣
Like the bloopers! Also like the content.
I'm having flashbacks when I was working at a dealership and detailed repos. They were always trashed out like those in the video. Even most trades were semi-trashed but nothing as bad as the repos.
I feel you on that. The shit they would buy was crazy to me
It pleases me that you make a living on transparency. Appreciate ya dude
Thank you... Wouldn't have it any other way
More pre-farted in, weed tar, and McDonald's grease stain inventory! I so want one! Seriously, great informational and entertaining content.
I like how you are worried about touching those interiors yet those poor drivers have to sit in them to pull through the bidding area
I was thinking the same thing
Gotta load up on the D + K2 for immunity
Good Vid I like the new Format
i like this format vs all the cars your checking, then the auction, then the final prices.
Happy Labor Day Weekend TO ALL: Brandon after looking ar all of that repo JUNK I'm not surprised wearing a germfree suit + this stuff is way past tired iron. After trying to clean up some of this garbage you must loose a lot of people to disease. IMHO a game thrower would work better. The visual stuff is one thing but it's the Poopy you don't see that can kill you financially. Hope you had a terrific holiday weekend sir & as always my best to you, your family, & your crew. TMP from N.J.
Wow. A lot full of cars that people couldn’t pay for. Just to have them bought and resold to people who can’t afford it. 😞 also, your bloopers are great. Keep rising.
Had an 05 cts not a v that had a 6 speed manual. Man That thing was fun to drive. Love the the vids. Take care everyone
love this video of yours :D
Thank you!
Appreciate you brother!
I appreciate your appreciation!
You never make this comment, but wouldn't you expect a repossessed vehicle to have been poorly maintained mechanically? If the owner isn't making the payments, and is trashing the interior, you can be sure they have not been changing the fluids on schedule. I would not want a repo.
I'm not sure if Brandon does specifically but that's a well known fact thar gets repeated lots on car channels...
Ow yes. That’s why you get them cheap at auction. Always always always check the history when buying a used car because it could be ugly.
Oh he has said that many times before. Some will never change the oil. They will literally drive it 30K miles without doing anything. Then it gets repoed.
There is alot of that going on and they make the excuse of not being able to afford oil.
@@BruceLee-xn3nnbut yet buy other things that are a waste of money instead of maintaining a car
I love this format... innovation for followers
Good Evening sorry I missed you live 😢 Hope you and family had a great holiday 🌞🤩🌟
You too
Thank you!!!
I was watching you show all the time but not so much now since it is so much auction and not enough "car prices news". I will check back now and again, but no interested in auctions.
Recently I’ve been looking to get my auction license so this video came in handy 😭. I used to always see my father have nice cars but little did i know they were from a auction. Bmw , lexus , VW & Challenger. rest his soul ❤️
Need a building and office location etc
Thanks for your videos I just subscribed 😃
Thanks for subbing!

I have a new born, i need a small suv. Im from NC, i wish i could buy from you cause i respect your honesty.
Amazing work
Thank you!
This is a good video.
Review and then auction is the right format
Do you know why it’s called a Chrysler 300
Because that’s the credit score it took to buy it new!
Lol
Very True !!!
300 is common in the hood.
This just affirmed why I only buy used cars by owner. In used cars you're not putting your money on the car you're putting your money on the last owner. Thanks CQA.
I am going to have to look up that EZ Way dealership-Their lot must be HUGE. It's insane the number of repos they have at the auction EVERY week!
Finally some common man prices for cars. I’m so glad I’ll have enough savings by next year to get a decent car.
@@rodger7029 I am fully aware there’s going to be issues but I don’t want to finance the same kind of junky car at double what it’s worth.
Just wait 2 years after and see the reviews first , everything is made junk these days , I would just get a Honda I trust them more than Toyota
In OKC prices are insane on trucks. $16k trucks are selling at auction for $20k+
Still crazy out there
HEY! Hello Brandon and thumbs UP!!
Hey!!!
If dealers are still paying these Crazy prices, then we won't be seeing retail prices fall
Yes its amazing how dirty these cars are, I cannot believe some of these are actually repos, Most likley dealer trade ins. Thanks Brandon!
Thanks.
Toyota Sienna?!?! You’re spoiling me! TY!
Don't know how I ended up here but I love the video format.
Wonder if I can find any Teslas this way
Good video
This is a great video editing format 😂
Mid sized pickups ( think Colorado/ Canyon ) No imports …. Cmon Brandon !!!
I'm planning to get a certain new vehicle, and was worried for a minute because I noticed a lot of second hand 2023's for sale, but then realized after much research that they are probably mostly repos from bad car loans. Good thing I plan to pay cash.
I really enjoy this video because it’s a blast from my past. I used to work at a car dealership and would go to auto auctions with the used car manager. This will date the time: the resurrected Mercury Cougar was selling for thousands over MSRP 😂
Can you give me an advice or a place to go to a place like this, I live in LA
I'm a little surprised at the at year and quality of the Repo's in this video. Sure seems like many many people are struggling if cars like this are being repossessed!
Right! The state of our country.
You think ? Couldn't be that a roast at the grocery costs 20 $
Good that's what we need to see for the masses to benefit
Those vehicles are so nasty! Thanks for very interesting content. Watching this is like watching a car crash, you don't want to see it but you can't help having a look.
I always enjoy watching the car auctions
Last year I traded my 2017 F150 in for a 2022 F150. I'm in my early 60's and I learned a long time ago to take care of your car and your car will take care of you. I keep my truck in mint condition. I also put good quality seat covers on and when I took them off (trade in) the seats looked brand new. The sales manager was very impressed with it
The American dream of owning a car and a home is fast fading away, we will be going back to the days of the Walton's with 3 generations living together and maybe a couple of cars that shared by all.
And a couple of cars up on blocks in the front yard. (Always wondered if those were actually broken down or on blocks to discourage the repo man)
Love seeing auction
"I'm touching the seat" LOL made me laugh.
Love the hup guy!
Sad situation. These prices are ridiculous. This only ends if people stop paying for them...
nice video
Like the new format of seeing what they went for right away. Would like to know what Jeep Grand Cherokee's are going for.
Neat freak dealing with repos;)
