The great wrestlers have always had to pay their dues, and show real talent to get anywhere. HHH was always a gimmick in someone else's storyline until got the world title.

Like it or not, HHH was the one most important guy in the attitude era. For of those who will give me the well-known names, just remember that it takes a great and bitterly hated heel to make a legendary face. Iron Sheik made Hogan, Shawn Michaels made Bret Hart (the irony of that!), and HHH made The Rock and Stone Cold. Say what you want about HHH, but he's great.
