    Such an amazing moment. Andrey deserves it more than anyone. Congrats again!

    Shanghai was also in his hands I still believe he was the better player and Hubi won just because he's a serve bot anyway Andrey will win more and he has already made a strong statement after Shanghai. The way he's playing these days shows his improvement even better than Monte Carlo. So proud of him, his consistency and hard work

      Couldn’t agree more. He played Hubi in Indian wells too. He won Hubi that time but it was a tight match like Shanghai. I really felt he handled it very well. Hubi was a serve bot. His ground strokes are not as aggressive and lethal as Andrey’s. Without those big serves, Andrey can win. Andrey has solid foundation and clean strokes. His footwork and movement can be better. Hope he gets to play Turin.

    We always talk about what a great person Andrey is (which is obviously true & we still should), but we also need to talk about his skills, talent & tenacity🔥 He got to the top 10 & still had room to improve... For those who follow his matches, his many improvements over the last year or two are amazing.. leading up to Monte Carlo, there were some awesome matches where he came back to win from a deficit, saved match points & so on.. Every player has their own timeline & story. This man is an absolute champ💪🏼

    I remember this match like it was just yesterday. My favorite has always been Rafa but that changed after watching this final. Andrey's Monte Carlo winning speech moved me and made me pull through radiotherapy (RT). He won on Apr 16 and my first RT session was the very next day. I had a total of 35 sessions every day for 20 mins. There were so many thoughts and demons I had to overcome whenever I'm strapped on. It was mentally and physically exhausting. EVERY DAY WAS A CHALLENGE. I remembered Andrey's speech in the lines of dig deep and find that opportunity to fight back. Don't think. Just do it. His powerful and impactful words made me resilient to overcome and complete my daily RT journey. Watching him win and how he fought back made me feel stronger, unstoppable and wanna be a winner too! It meant so much to me. As Bob Marley said, "You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only option." Amen to that! So sorry for the lengthy comment 😂 On that note, HAPPPPYY BIRTHDAY, ANDREY 🎉

      I'm glad you're ok.🙏. But wow! Andrey Rublev has one of the most......no, without one. He has THE most unique, in the best ever possible meanings, fans!! I still remember that guy or girl, who wrote on UA-cam a comment about watching tennis with his mom, but after his mother died from cancer, he almost didn't want to watch it again...and one day he turned on TV & saw a ¼ final of USO Andrey vs Meddy & for some reason Andrey hooked him again to watch this sport. And he became a huge Rublev fan, wanting to meet him someday. I remember how Andrey read it and was so humbled.....and I do believe that ATP UA-cam channel & internet management department- somehow will find this guy or girl and will arrange a meeting with his idol. That will be the top story of a fan meeting his tennis idol ever. Because nobody did it cause of a comment on the internet(UA-cam)+ that background of this comment is heartbreaking & heartwarming at the same time.

    @1:31 wrong… Rune had already on M1000 in Paris 2022 then! So guttered for Andrey for not taking his 2nd M1000 in Shanghai, leading quite comfortably in final TB

    Monte Carlo is memories, beautiful, emotional memories, semifinal and final this year are my most favourite Andrey's matches. He played the best tennis in his career I think, he played beautifully, stunning, amazing. I remember when I was watching that match, it was like I was really there on court with all spectators, rooting for him, wishing him the best luck, praying for him, believing till the last second that he will win it. Again congratulations Andrey, wishing you best luck in upcoming tournaments, in the rest of the season and also wishing you best luck in next year❤️🎾🔥. Hopefully it will be that beautiful and successful, even more beautiful and successful, like this year❤️❤️❤️🎾🔥

      Everything you said is right but I believe he played his best tennis in Shanghai not Monte Carlo. He's improving and his game is now a combination of different shots specially his net game and backhand is much better nowadays

    Rublev is such an amazing and kind guy but I'm glad he acknowledged the impact feelings and pressure can have on his performance. He's way too hard on himself and it's really difficult to watch since he's so kind to everyone else but himself. I hope he has the support he wants and needs because he's a really amazing and intense tennis player and it would be a shame if something like this would derail his success. He needs to talk to Sinner who is always so chill - ginger support group!

    • @t3nnis101
      @t3nnis101 11 місяців тому +2

      He's always acknowledged the impact of pressure & emotions on his performance, so this isn't new.. He's a genuine, humble guy, he's often been open & aware of his shortcomings & he keeps striving to improve, which he has done & keeps doing.. These things don't sort themselves out overnight.. Also, he definitely doesn't have to become someone else & develop the same personality as other guys on tour - they all have flaws, they're just different.

    Love Rublev but he needs to manage his anger issues on court, the way he exploded at camera people was so unprofessional in Shanghai. He could win a lot more then.

    While it may be important to celebrate a veteran such as Rublev achieving his first Masters 1000 title, one cannot forget the friction between Rune and the crowd and the likely resultant 2 missed overhead smashes in the third set. Many would call this a thrown match from Rune.
