    great review, ive got one of these myself and I'm so pleased with it. I use for everything from jigs to throwing spinnerbaits to flipping docks. i even use it pike fishing, never had an issue with it!

      kaleb.m4 thanks man! Yeah I considered getting another one in 7.3:1 for my MH general purpose setup but was able to grab a heavily discounted Tatula CT for the same price so I went with it. This reel is still one of my favorites though!

      So Kaleb how many kg weight pike did you catch with this fuego ct. How it's smoothness now

    i upgraded from a abu black max to a fuego and fell in love. i just bought the 8:1 set up a few days ago and can't wait for it to arrive!

    Nice review! Thank you for sharing! I just ordered this feel and can hardly wait to use it! I was sold on the Tatula but after reading reviews I found this reel and appears to be almost the same reel!

    Just pick up the Tatula yesterday waiting for it to get here. it will probably be my new favorite reel. My most used right now is the 13 fishing concepts A.

      Right on man! I've never fished a 13 but I hear good things! You definitely won't be disappointed by the Tatula!

      Elias Ortiz thank you man! When I was looking for reels this is the kind of review I wanted to see but had trouble finding so I figured I’d try my hand at it!

    So what rod should I pair it with ? Is this more or so for top water fishing ?

    New sub here. I actually bought the same reel on eBay for 65. They still have them there I'm getting a 6:31 for cranking and spinnerbaits next.

    You must not fish much but the T-wing is what makes the tatula so good. The tatula cast as good as any 300 dolar reel and The t-wing is the reason.

      Not sure which part of my video you’re referring to but I don’t recall ever shitting on the t-wing? I own two other daiwa reels with them and love them all equally?

    Nice review but sir Abu Garcia pro max is having more drag I think 18 Lb drag and in this only 13Lb drag power. So I m bit worried to catch snakehead of 5 to7kg in weedy area. Would this reel pull them out of weeds

    I was gonna pick up one of these but I've heard the quality over time wasn't great. Ended up with another Curado since the Black Friday deal at my local shop was so good.

      Gilbert Sanchez man I almost went Curado but the Daiwa was on sale and the Shimano wasn’t, I’ve never fished a curado but I will say that after a year of beating this reel up it’s still going strong so I’m impressed hahaha

    I don't think your leader knot is supposed to reach the spool...

    • @BassinBarbless
      @BassinBarbless  5 років тому +1

      RSLewis it really depends on how long your leader is, if I’m fishing an area where the fish are mad finicky or I want a bit more abrasion resistance out of my line (I use Seaguar AbrazX) I’ll go as long as a 10-15’ leader using and Albright knot which passes super easily through the king guide on the fuego

    • @BassinBarbless
      @BassinBarbless  5 років тому

      RSLewis it should be noted though that on this setup I rarely throw with a leader since it’s primary purpose is heavier flipping and topwater on or around pads, grass, and muck. The leader normally only goes on when the water is colder and I want to throw a bigger jig, which is what I was doing right before my lake froze over and I retired this setup for the year hahaha
