This is an episode that unless you watched it on CBS or the Family Channel, you wouldn't see it anywhere else. It's the only FULL episode from the first six seasons whose segments never aired in syndication. I do not have an idea why. I will say that the story that sticks out for me is the fourth story about the teenager. This is a subject that hits so close to home for me. I experienced this recently with my own sister and the outcome was tragic. I urge anyone who has those thoughts to please call or text 988. The other stories featured had amazing bystanders helping others in need.
The second segment hits home with me. When my brother was two he choked on a small piece of apple. My mom had to call the fire department and they had to get it out.
The first story makes me sad because every kid needs to be taught how to swim. Swimming lessons was one of the best things my parents ever did. Giving kids those arm floats guves them a false sense of security. Wster safety is so important. Kids should also be taught what to do incase they get caught in a rip current. Knowledge saves lives.
and !!wow!! i love how the theme plays here with the dramatic thumps, and the showing of each segment especially 12:57 fits perfectly, since you have minutes til the child loses consciousness and or worse, dies.
13:33 this kinda has #christmasbulbchoke vibes as this child in this segment has a swallowing problem (narrow trachea), but not a gag reflux so sensitive, he loses conciousness and the child here has a problem with his throat that needed surgery.
I'm sorry, but I had to laugh a little bit when Stan's wife was making such a fuss about him taking risks.... then she gets on her horse and starts galloping around. I guess no one has told her how she could just as easily end up paralysed from a horse accident. I grew up on horses (some family members joke that I was born on one), and I've had my share of spills with serious injury (broken back, broken leg, dislocated elbow). You can't just sit at home and do nothing... and everything has some risk to it (especially the fun stuff!). If he wanted to ride a mountain bike then he should... as long as he knows his limitations.
Rationally, I know it's really no one's fault in terms of Nikki's attempted suicide… I'm irrationally angry with her mom, though; her comment about Nikki basically being the mom of the family particularly during the divorce and stuff like that… That's just messed up. I'm glad they learned from this experience, though, and hope they still have that same mother/daughter bond they developed after Nikki's overdose.
In the first segment what happened to the second child I know that there was 2 kids in the raft and they’re being pulled away by the current and one was in the raft but what happened to the other child?
Its hard to reach out and talk to someone when most people dont wanna be bothered. Initially their reaction is grow up, go on pills, life goes on. They dont care that theyre doing more harm than good to someone in that state of mind.
It's sad but true I know the feeling because my neighbor lost his wife in October and then on Thanksgiving week he was depressed about losing his wife so he took his own life by hanging himself it shocked us all we did not know he was depressed like that
She got to him and brought him back to shore I believe. You can see her holding him when the husband swims out towards the boat . I was thinking the same thing and at first. They should have mentioned that he was ok
Thank you! This is one of the episodes I have not seen before… anywhere!

I'm so sorry you and your family went through that with your sister. I hope you are all finding comfort and healing.
Sorry about your loss Zack you know you have our support and I agree there is help out there for anyone who feels that way
@Beatlemoe so sorry to hear how the 4th segment hits close home to you as it relates to your sister.
@ very much appreciated. This time of year hits a little hard, as Thanksgiving two years ago was the last time I saw her.

I know the ER doctor in the last segment! He’s a family friend and didn’t know he was on the show
How could he not know, considering he was interviewed for it?
I really! Feel like it's a miracle that this little boy survived this accent❤

35:23 the #Rescue911trailerfire segment also had an antique too, but it was still in-service.

0:06 love the slow/steady tense beat in this opening.
12:55 the "next" preview was cut-out for some reason?

13:48-13:52 -- Ummm...that's *exactly* what can cause you to choke! 🥺

Just remember one thing, my friend, which is, when you're under stress, you're not thinking properly about what you're doing.
1:15 i can now see why my mom tied my raft to an underwater anchor that held the rope, this type of accident.

1:15 what #texas segment is this since there was #arlington and the #bentaubtraumadocu.
9:43 my dad was a coastguard rescuer before I was born.
32:42 btw i have the ambulance patch that's used and seen in this segment for real.
My younger brother Patrick he had asthma as well

28:14 same truck used in #Rescue911911conferencecall.
What happened to the other boy that was in the boat?😢 did they at least find his body?

@3:44 you can see the father hand the mother the second child and she starts back towards shore.
Kids r very unpredictable.
Not very smart are they
Shound not be in the water if you cant swim, not smart at all, no life vest either
great job in teaching them how to swim after
I really! Feel like it's a miracle that this young girl survived this accident❤
