    Magnificent exhibition of the Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa, coordination, symmetry of the body in motion, strength and speed. That's the authentic Taekwon-Do ITF

    Politics aside (& seemingly there will ALWAYS be politics in Tae Kwon Do) I really enjoyed watching these clips of Grand Master Choi Jung Hwa. I cannot imagine how amazing it must be to have even one 5 minute lesson with him. I think ANYONE could learn so much! On a personal note, I joined Tae Kwon Do for the Art, not the Sport. I have no interest in the sport side, & it annoys me no end that they refer to Olympic Martial Artists as "Players". I find the very term disrespectful; but that's me.

    What happened after the death of the founder is known: after his death, several presidents of national organizations, has announced its own World Cup, the same did Choi Jung Hwa and North Korea did the same thing. ITF is practically broke into three different ITF and each made a claim on the legacy of Taekwon-Do.

    Choi Jung Hwa is General Choi's son. (Choi is actually his last name, or family name) He betrayed his father and started a new itf organization just like the one his father built but only for his own winning. I train for ITF Tran. But just as u say, itf the TKD spirit that should live on not start whining which organization did what. Although i dont agree with people saying that WTF is TKD. TKD is a killing art, and it has alot of tradition in it. WTF erased all that, then its not TKD any more.

    For me a simple answer:
    during the life of the founder of Choi Hong Hi in the ITF World Congress - all countries, all organizations agreed with the fact that the successor and the new prezitent ITF was unanimously elected his son, Choi Jung Hwa. Also, all Choi Hong Hi make sure his son as his RECOGNISE prezitent.

  • @sosanznojmo
    @sosanznojmo  13 років тому

    The international tribunal in The Hague, but the lawsuit clearly won Choi Jung Hwa. This means that the right techniques, symbols and the name "Taekwondo" Choi Jung Hwa own. Other organizations do not get the right to wear the signs of Taekwon-Do ITF and their equipment may not perform the same way as an organization Choi Jung Hwa. Just as it was forced to do Tae Kwon-Do WTF.

    for scarred10: Knows the only one who was then the Congress and knows the opinions of others. And I have only conveyed information.
    Today we talk about everything, but not change it.
    For me it is important every Taekwondo-ini, I do not care if the ITF is 1.2 or 3, GTF, KTF, Twins NTF, WTF. For me it is important that, if I learn that art is effective. Choi Jung Hwa line is the one taught by the founder of Choi Hong Hi. These are fighting techniques of Taekwon - Do. Not sport. And I want it.

    I have trained with some incredible masters in my time - Gen Choi, Master Rhee, Master Cho and i would like to train with this master but i don't think he's in the same league (no disrespect intended).
    Such a shame that the IOC chose the WTF to be the Olympic style of TKD, how good would it have been if the ORIGINAL taekwondo was the olympic taekwondo?

      +IndiaRubber Man Gen Choi was present at my very first testing in 1975. He was in Colorado to be present at a Black Belt test where multiple masters were demonstrating or testing. Master Rhee, Grand Master Serriff and my instructor who is Grand Master Lange were all present. After our colored belt testing Gen. Choi accompanied some of up to dinner. There he told us how he escaped from North Korea.  The nest day we had a outdoor class where he presided.

    • @melissalvarez19
      @melissalvarez19 9 років тому +2

      Paul de los santos si lo es... una de las facetas que posee el taekwondo itf es la defensa personal que te enseña a estar preparado para afrontar situaciones reales de combate

    • @MaicolSuare7510
      @MaicolSuare7510 9 років тому

      Melissa Alvarez pregunto xq veo que se usan mucho las piernas y se descuida las distancias cortas ..no veo que se usen los codos ni las rodillas y veo que usan muchas patadas saltando q eso en la calle es ireal hacerlo

    • @melissalvarez19
      @melissalvarez19 9 років тому +1

      si y es asi.. en la parte competitiva (lucha) se usan las piernas y manos, pero en lo que es defensa personal para aplicarla en la calle se trata de enseñar justamente a pelear de otro modo en distintas distancias y usando distintos tipo de herramientas de ataque como codos, rodillas, manos, pies, etc... por lo menos en mi escuela se enseña asi y yo tambien trato de transmitir lo mismo a mis alumnos, te recomiendo que pruebes una clase de TKD ITF que es un arte marcial muy completo!

    In ITF Taekwon-do you can find what you need. You must hawe eyes to see the reality, and your self. ITF is the organization they teach the original Taekwon-Do. Because, its not a sport. Its a Martial Art! My Master is a Human weapon. He dont go to tournaments. But no body can beat him on the street. He is fast as hell! Search for a great Master! And go to Corea for a litle time!

  • @keepingitfreal122

    Politics...well that is the term used by the TKD consumer. But who is going to lead Taekwon Do? This is called TKD leadership, and responsibility of guiding us into the future. Perhaps there are disagreements on occasion, but just calling it politics implies corruption and unethical bias.

  • @keepingitfreal122
    @keepingitfreal122 11 років тому

    Yes, that is true, but rallying up a flash congress meeting amongst that highly emotional time was a bad decision, and caused the division. This was a power play by the N. Koreans. Perhaps if they would have waiting 3 to 6 months, and called a legitimate special congress in Vienna, they would have ALL honoured his last wishes, and we would not be split now. So foolish.
