Jacob, your insights on using GPT-4 in copywriting are fascinating. Can you share what led you to discover its potential for your work and any key moments that sparked your interest in this technology?
I started looking into it when GPT3 was launched in 2020. There were some pretty wild claims being made, and I wanted to investigate for myself. I found the claims to be overhyped, but I was impressed with it’s ability to outline and help with brainstorming. When ChatGPT launched, I was really surprised by the massive market reaction but didn’t feel it represented that significant of a quality upgrade as the core engine was still GPT3. Then GPT4 came out and it was an instant “holy fuck” moment for me. It responded to more complex prompts and follow-up clarifying requests 10x more accurately and with a whole new level of nuance.
I haven't finished the entire video yet so I'm not sure yet if this was mentioned, but what are either of you're thoughts on other AI model created specifically to write copy?
Chatgpt is great for brainstorming general subjects: e.g. give me 10 pain points of a tow truck customer. Done - in 10 seconds. But don't ask it who are the best suppliers of tow trucks. Anything factual should be double checked.
Totally agree but the factual part is only a matter of time. OpenAI and Google are both investing 9-10 figures in making that happen and there’s no real reason to believe we won’t get there within the next year.
One thing to remember is that AI is, at the moment, "AI" is as bad as it will ever be. Look how Midjourny has evolved this year. Chat GPT, at the moment, is a glorified auto-suggest, summarisation and analytical tool. This time next year, it'll be fully integrated into MS products workflow, working on real-time data, but, for the moment, it's not that AI will take over your job, but those humans who know how to use AI that will take over your job...
Lol I said, "5,000 articles per blog post" instead of "5,000 dollars per blog post" that's very confusing. Thanks for having me on the show Sean!

I'm happy I got a lot of writing practice before ChatGPT. Now I can use it and actually have a sense of what needs to be done.
Legit. Solid eye roll. Quality.
I love chatgpt and it's an incredible tool for copywriting. 😊

Absolutely right @dotpenji! Kudos!
I have a strong affection for ChatGPT, and it's an amazing resource for copywriting. 😊
Most people who ll view this video is here to type 2 sentences into chatgpt and say "show me the money" 😄😅

Jacob should rebrand himself as ChadGPT

Considering that AI training data will now include AI writing going forward, it is entirely possible that AI is as good as it will ever be.
Great topic! Thanks for doing this 🫡
