As you know, Jessica, the Rambagh Palace was one of the many homes of the Royal family of Jaipur.Maharaja Man Singh and his beautiful wife, Maharani Gayatri Devi were close personal friends of the Kennedys., and they divided their time berween the high life in London and Monte Carlo and their palaces in Jaipur. Thank you for sharing with us the ambience - the peacocks in the gardens, the marble floors and corridors, the gracioud, old world service, the spacious 1948 Ford, the ride in the open carriage.......

I don’t think the elephants should be giving tourists rides at Ajmer fort even if they do go back to a sanctuary ... I’ve seen the elephants here and there is no way I would ride these gorgeous animals at any cost ....
