    Sounds like a commercial.
    Anytime you install larger diameter tires on your vehicle, you should install better brake components because the braking distance is going to change.
    Personally, I like drilled and slotted rotors and pads made for tow vehicles.

    What's so special about the rotors that they need specific pads?

      I’d assume the metallurgy of the rotor allows for better heat dissipation. Pair that with semi metallic pad or a cheaper pad and you’ll most likely run into issues with squeaky brakes, brake fade, and pad separation/ cracking. I see issues like this all the time when doing brake jobs and people mix and match brands because it’ll save them a few bucks. Generally when you stick to one brand even if it’s a cheaper brand you’re less likely to run into issues
