Responidng to all comments... The VW has two engines with NOS while the Opel has an Audi 4.2 tuned engine with NOS. Both cars are street legal thus the reason why the drag racing championship in which they compete is called 402 m Streetrace. All those who mentioned that there are drag racing cars that do under 9 seconds and have less HP than the above are forgeting the main point, which is weight. Both the VW and Opel are over 1300kg. So there is your answer.
Hey, in Germany there are cars that need 8 seconds for the 1/4 mile. who do not even have 1000 HP. The golf is to have 1300 hp? Never! Give me the address of the hompage golf.
