  • I really love how this card came out! It is a twist and pop card, and when you open it the center portion will expand and pop out! If you want the Design Space project file that is at design.cricut....
This is just one of the many card styles I am showing you how to create with your Cricut using free shapes! You can find the whole series at www.shawnmosch...
Instead of paying for the cards in Design Space I will just teach you how to design your own!!!

Thank you very much for the demonstration AND for the design space pattern. I tried recently to create this myself and failed to get the score lines correctly placed on the pop up mechanism. You’re amazing and I appreciate your sharing 🙂

I am so glad you liked the Cricut Craftfest event! Now that I am learning to make SVG files, I can provide those for more of my projects like this card. Let me know if there are other card styles that you would like to have a svg file for!

I don't know if this is a new feature, but if you create an offset in negative (inset) with the shape and attached lines, it creates an inset for each section! You can even contour out... if you don't want all or duplicate/contour if you want different patterned paper.

Thank you for going step by step in the translation process! Really helpful. Do you have the design file saved? May I have the link? This is for personal use, not commercial use.

Also, thank you for the comment about my step by step and how I looked at the original template to figure out the process. I was not sure if that would help anyone . . . if you can learn to do this, as long as you have the numbers/measurements for any style of card you can translate it into a Design Space file.
Before the days of electronic cutters, most people did their cards in the manner that the template showed . . . so it is all about putting that same data into Design Space.
Also, I added the link to the Design Space project to the description of my video.
