Lovely to see your beautiful face and your positive attitude to this very difficult disorder. I’m older but still learning strategies to help my depression, the main thing for me has been medication and meditation and TRYING to keep a more positive attitude. Easier said than done, I know. I love what your doing, continue to look after you first, sending you lots of love from Australia ❤❤❤
I'm so happy to see this video, and if it's not to personal, I hope you keep sharing this planner. Ive been through multiple therapists in my life, and I lost the best one I'd ever had in October last year. Just last week I decided I was ready to find a new one. Thanks for sharing this ❤
Thank you for being so honest and open about your struggles. As someone who has struggled with mental health my entire life, I love seeing people be more transparent and real about their own issues. I'm so proud of you and it was nice to see you in a video!
love this, im seeing therapist for my mental health, depression and how to cope with it. ways i do is keep journaling and writing down all my thoughts. watching tv keeps me from getting down and family also.
Jess, I am SO PROUD OF YOU for taking the necessary steps to really taking care of yourself and your mental health. I've dealt with anxiety/depression all my life but wasn't properly diagnosed until late 2018. And then in fall of 2021, I was diagnosed with Bipolar II. I've been in two group therapy sessions; the first one focused more on looking at the past and analyzing what happened to figure out why you act the way you do today. And the group I was in back in 2021 focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help with emotion regulation. Girl, when I say that the info I learned in this CBT group was life-changing, I'm not exaggerating! I love that CBT focuses on the present moment to help you recognize when your mental health systems being triggered. You learn how to try and overcome them (e.g. if you sense a panic attack coming on), and what you can do if you find yourself in a tough situation - like a panic attack or something worse. I wish you all the very best during this journey! The positive mental attitude you already have towards these changes will take you far. Also, I got super-excited when I saw the layout of this planner. For the middle boxes with the checklist, one thing I would use that for is to track my mental health systems. I already due this anyway in my bujo, but I try to keep a daily track of the following items: when I wake up/how many hours I slept, my energy, my mood, anxiety/depression levels, and if I'm in any physical pain. So each line I mark it has WHEMADP. Feel free to try that out, especially since the info might help you and your counselors with your progress. Take care!
Jess it's so great to see your face! What bravery it took for you to record this video. Hugs to you 💖 My husband of many years passed away three years ago and my mental health has really suffered. I find forcing myself to go outside and walk nearly every single day has really helped me.
Thank you for your candor, Jess. I think many of us may need to hear this. Be strong! I keep a "Self Care" planner which includes my water and coffee consumption, my am/pm resting blood pressure, what time I rise and go to sleep, my weight and the time I get dressed each day. I also include what I eat for dinner each day as well as a list of gratitudes or things I notice that bring me joy.
On a similar journey so 🎉 to you ❤ I do have one question though... would it have been easier to find months with the same dates and just do it that way? Or did you need the creative outlet? I've actually done it both ways because the need for a creative outlet was greater than the easier way 😊
