to our polynesian son's, i could not begin to tell you how proud i am of you. I am of the old school and hearing your songs and voices taes me back to the days in jr high at fia iloa jr high, and my high school years at samoana high in american samoa. I had forgotten those beautiful years and many of my old classmates have gone onto govt and whatever. listening to your songs just brought back memories. god bless you kids, you have a friend here. if i can help ion any way, please don't hesitate to contact me. i don't have much but what i do have, is your's. god bless, and don't ever stop doing what you are doing!!!!! many of us remember the old skool
God bless them young men but god bless too my brother. I wish more people had your way of thinking. That what can I do to help you instead of what can you do for me mentality is so rare in people these days. It was so refreshing to see your post and how these talented guys bought back some youthful memories for you. Thanks for being a positive light in this sometimes dark world.
That is the way Dan Seals played too he’s only the second person I seen play left handed like that 👍 and I think it’s not particularly a “skill” as just the natural way they can play an instrument. One thing really unique about it is the sound the guitar makes with the bottom strings on the bottom . Either way you interpret it it’s way cool and very unique. 👍
you're so right ...josh has the vocal runs of a king and the vabrato to carry it like he was born a superstar...out of the 3 i honestly think he has the better vocals but i just enjoyed this whole medley in general..not often you see young folks embracing what started it all

Hello, this is Russell commenting from my daughters account. I'm kanaka maoli, I came to the mainland in 59 as a baby. I grew up in East LA, and let me say you young brahdahs are down, thank you for the oldies, by the way my auntie is Leainala Haili the singer, my beloved auntie Jesse. Thank you.
Sweat Jesus you boys can sing. Aloha from Canada!! Heart and prayers go with you and your beautiful people and culture, may you win back your independence one day.
Bobby Joe Jr. what you don’t know is before the illegal annexation of HawaiʻI we had treaties with just about the entire world but now that we are part of the US that puts a huge target on our backs. We were almost bombed by North Korea and that’s because we have US military bases. The illegal annexation also buried our culture, almost lost our language and make people to be ashamed to be Hawaiian and to be who we are.
I get angry listening to these guys .You can't find such good music like this .These guys are so good it's crazy, and look how they are so relaxed you can tell they have been playing together for a while. This is the real concert not the junk we listen to these days .Guys you nailed it
You should watch the movie Once Were Warriors. When they’re not kicking each other’s asses, they were singing. It appears to be in the very fabric Polynesian culture.
Singing and chanting is integral to their culture. When the Christian missionaries got to their islands and convert them, they switch to hymnal in group singing especially. The movie soundtrack, The thin red line, is a good reference.
This totally moved me! I grew up on the music of the 50s and my Uncle, my hero, used to sing to me Daddy's Home! and I knew all the other songs! I want to come to Hawaii just to meet you guys! lol! Thank you!

You're mine and we belong together
Yes, we belong together, for eternity
