In this video I share a custom acrylic display case which I had made for my recent 1/48 Tamiya F-14B. A great idea for any scale models which you would like a case for.

It might be a worthy note to see what the cost would be for the company to send it flat-packed so you can assemble it yourself. One can buy the proper glue to adhere acrylic and just keep it on hand. Also, with the addition of a few tools, a buddy with a wood shop, or a local maker space, you can make wooden bases on which to mount the acrylic cover. One could also incorporate the diorama display actually as the base of the case itself. Thanks for sharing this resource.

Shipping costs are shown when placing the order. I think it was only $20. So not worth the hassle of assembling myself.

In the UK I can recommend a firm called 'Custom Display Cases'. I ordered a bottomless one to fit exactly into a picture frame that I was using as a diorama base and they got it spot on. Their website and customisation options looks very similar to T&T's.

Thanks for sharing. Oddly enough I just bought a case for a Tamiya 1/48 F14 and it was significantly more. Will check these guys out in the future.

@@RWHobbies trying to find any new models in Ireland sucks, I always need to look online from Germany because customs on orders from UK are an arm and a leg now too
