Only 27 minutes in, but i wanna vent my vent a little. Not gonna say this read is for me cause... Idk weird feelings from the title and ive met the mans entire family lol. But it hella reminds me of last boss, known him since i was like 7, 25 now. He owns the neighborhood convenience store, good family vibes. Really good boss. Totally misunderstood by some of our community cause he can be cold. Hes got like, a mad face lmao But he was nice, had mines and my coworkers backs immediately for anything or any problem. Really treated us like family and im really grateful for the opportunity to have worked there, the timing was perfect and I expressed this to him. It was also perfect for him because he had to let go of his longest working employee cause they were shady and took advantage of his trust. It was truly a blessing on both our ends. And we were very alike in certajn qualities of personality and thinking processes. I worked pretty hard so he could have some time to enjoy his life. Known him all these years and hes ALWAYS at the store working. Felt good to hear him say he can finally be with his family on holidays and for events... But the work was rough when he wasnt there. People were gross towards me. Im a late bloomer, wasnt really noticed til about this point in time while going through a dramatic weightloss and glow up era and the attention was overwhelming sometimes..not to be ego-headed but its not everyday you see a cootie patootie goth girly behind the counter round these parts lol 😂 i could feel the energy change, both good and bad. For me, for the community, for the store. Stuff was changing. This job and an ex are also the reason I got back in touch with spirit. It was hard to ignore the energy. I saw the nasty in the community working there. Been home my whole life, blind it seems. Fucked with me real bad---also seeing old faces from my school days that i avoided for damn near ten years hit me like a ton of bricks and i had a lot of old wounds to work through during my time there. Practicing exposure therapy alone, while at work, while serving the people that scared me into hiding was a lot to take on. I wanted to be of help, but my mind was collapsing and overtime it became more and more noticeable. I miss that job tho. Loved seeing my community, it even inspired me to be more involved. Built up my confidence, taught me to be a tough cookie, and again. My boss was dope, his family was sweet, it was right by my house which is perfect for my agoraphobic ass 😭 been thinking about how i quit lately. Sad days. i kinda had to be cold myself to work through that and hide that i was coping--not good with vulnerabilities, especially sad ones or shame. Felt like i let us all down. Couldn't sleep at night thinking about how many times we had to close to store cause I STARTED CRYING. ALLISON I WAS A CHILD IN MY HEART 😭 being alone in that place brought out old feelings. Hate working alone and its all i ever done. I wanted to change that. i couldn't hold my shit together for the life of me. Life hit quick after years of stagnation and truth be told i ran from it.
