Google DiDia 150. This is the custom car built for Bobby Darin by four workers over a seven(!) year period from 1953-1960. Men's clothing designer Andy Di Dia of Detroit designed it and Darin promised Di Dia he'd buy it if her ever "hit it big". The car cost Bobby Darin over $150,000.00 (which converts to around $1.5 million dollars in 2019) in 1960. He and Sandra Dee drove it to the Academy Awards in 1961. It was donated by Bobby to the St. Louis Museum Of Transportation in 1970.

Queen Of The Hop song: During studio talk, you can hear Ahmet Ertegun (Atlantic Records) scolding a black girl, even Bobby admits guilt and apologizes for deviating from what Ahmet wanted. I'd sure like to know who this black girl was who was working with Bobby in the studio! A second pianist?

I don’t get where the difference is on any of your remixes. They all sound the way they did back in the day. You should extend them. Most of them are too short.
Paul, what i do is remix the elements within the song - sometimes the difference is very subtle. Unlike some people that do a modern take on an old song, including extending it & adding new instrumentation.
Here with Dream Lover i did extend it slightly by putting a piano intro on the song - but everything was used from the original song file. Tiger.

Bobby and Sandra looked so good together, both of them icons of an era gone, but never be forgotten.
One of many things a majority of people don't know about Bobby is that he wrote over 160 of his own songs! This is one of them. He also had a major say in the arrangements, orchestration, & production of his music which was practically unheard of 60 years ago, from a 22 year old kid no less!
Bobby was not only a trendsetter, but he was absolutely one of the most gifted entertainers EVER to grace the stage! Singing, (especially live where he had an uncanny ability to connect to his audience regardless of age, with such depth and a range of emotion and feeling that few have ever possessed) songwriting, musicianship (drums, piano, guitar, harmonica, xylophone) acting, directing, producing, impressionist, comedian.
Many people love to compare him to that Sinatra fellow and falsely claim he wanted to be like him. I, personally as a huge fan of his work, find that insulting to Bobby's legacy. Bobby Darin could do it ALL...with style, grace, and an inimitable charisma that is only God given. Once in a lifetime there comes along a Bobby Darin, if you're lucky!
And as I understand it, despite this being one of his most endearing recordings, he considered it too simplistic and teenage (that from the guy who co-wrote "Splish Splash"???)

He also had a genius-level IQ and was a chess-master. The world was robbed of a great mind and talent. But he knew because of his heart problems he would die young so he made the absolute most of those 37 years he did get.

I used the part at 0:37, cut that out, & with the use of Spectral Editing removed the harmony vocals from that part. This was then edited onto the start of the song.
